The firepit as a whole is beautiful. It's a great value. It feels sturdy, is larger than I'd thought, and is plenty deep for a great fire. It helps to have two people assembling it, especially during the railing part. My friend and I had a hard time even with the both of us. It could've been because one side of the main bowl came bent, but I'm honestly not sure why it was so difficult.Instructions were not completely clear - especially when putting the heat protector on the bottom. Be sure to look at the picture instead of the words, as the pictures show more detail.I love that it has a grill. It also comes with a small fire poker that can be used to remove the mesh lid as well. The small fire poker it came with is not welded together nicely at all. There are crooked parts sticking out here and there - not great craftsmanship, but it looks like it'll be able to do the job nonetheless. I had to buy a cover, firewood grippers/scissors, and a longer poker separately.Take caution when handling the lid and anywhere else the mesh wiring is. It's very sharp and can cut or poke easily. Also around the edge of the lid where metal strips cover the edges, they were not welded together well, and are crooked, so a piece hangs down and is VERY sharp. I thought about sending it back and asking for a replacement, but honestly, with it being such a big box/item, it isn't worth the hassle, and I just decided to keep it. It also had a big scratch on the rim, but not a huge deal, as I'm sure the wood will scratch it up more too with more use.All in all, it's a nice firepit. We'll be enjoying it a lot this year.

Very pretty fire pit! I’m not very handy with tools but I put this together by myself in no time, using included tools and hardware. Fire pit is not too heavy to move around, but heavy enough to be sturdy. I also bought a cover for it. Also has a grill which is half the diameter, perfect for grilling.

Love how it looks and that it has the extra heat guard on the bottom. Works wonderfully.

I finally took this out of my four seasons room and put it together. It was in the box a little over four months but out of direct sunlight and other weather elements. The Ditropan firepit was rusted. The rust resembled the bubbles on the bubble wrap. It was shipped and the produced had bubble wrap around the actual pit but nothing on top of it or inside of it. Not only was it rusted - the lid was dented in multiple places so it doesn't fit right or actually cover anything. Besides that, it seems sturdy and I love the grill aspect. All of the parts were included.

I bought this to take camping where they don't allow ground fires and love it. this my second one after 5 or more years having the first one. i am sure it would have lasted longer if I had used a cover but after 5 years I am not going to complain. the only thing I don't like is the fact it doesn't come with a cover but if I want one bad enough I can buy one.also love that it has a grill plate. I cook all my meals on it when camping and i will even use it at home from time to time to cook a meal.
