Civil PE Practice Exam: Water Resources Depth Version B

Same review as the other PE prepared books I purchased:I just took the PE, WRE depth exam (Oct 22, 2020). I thought this practice exam (and all the other PE prepared practice exams) were decent study materials. These practice problems were a lot easier than the actual exam, but they helped me get in the mindset of studying and thinking through problems. I would suggest anyone who buys these to start your studying with these exams to help you learn where to find things in the CERM/other reference material, then move on to the more difficult/better representative practice exams (like NCEES practice exam and Gruttadauria).

I just finished taking the PE this past Friday, and I do think that this practice exam was very helpful as a study aide. This exam seemed just a bit easier than the actual exam. I did really appreciate that the style of questions was quite similar and representative of the actual exam. From my research, PE Prepared were some of the more reasonably priced, representative exams for the Water Resources & Environmental depth portion. I wanted to practice getting into the exam mindset and was having a hard time finding recent practice exams for the afternoon.

The PE Prepared Exams were definitely easier than actual PE exam, but I felt they are very good 'secondary' practice exams to complete if you are looking for additional practice in advance of the test. I would not use these as your primary study material, do not overlook CERM, Prep Course, other practice exams available.

I took the PE (water resources focus) in October 2021. The hydraulics and hydrology questions in this book were representative of what was on the actual exam. The wastewater treatment questions on the exam were much harder than what was in this practice book.Overall, I would recommend this book, in addition to the NCEES official practice exam.

I bought five different types of PE practive exam guides to prepare for the PE exam and this brand of practice exams was most similar to that of the real exam. I bought Civil PE Practice Exam: Breadth Exam Versions A and B as well as the water resource specific guides, version A and B.

This along with a couple other exams are the key that helped me pass the test. I would say this exam and the A version are the 2 most representative exams I’ve seen for the afternoon session.

Poorly written, not covered all topics, some questions are vague and not easy to solve
