As other reviewers have said - there are 38 magnetic pieces and an insert set of numerals and alphabets (and windmill/car parts).I bought these primarily for my four year old daughter who starts school this September. I thought that the magnetic set with the addition of the alphabet and numerals would be a great asset for her learning.Although we only have one alphabet set, so no good for spelling many words, they're still very useful for asking my daughter to find specific letters or numbers, therefore educational in helping her really get to grips with her alphabet and letter sounds when we play together. I'd consider buying more of the magnetic and non-magnetic elements of this set separately (or even a second full set), so that we can do even more with them. Not that there isn't enough good play with one set... but like lego, the more you get, the more you can build!They are pretty fabulous, and enough fun to make them good for parent child interactive play. I actually suspect that I've enjoyed playing with them more than my daughter -oops! They're pretty addictive when it comes to making three dimensional shapes and more than once I've found myself clacking them together when I was supposed to be tidying them away.My eight year old daughter has also gotten in on the act, so I suspect I'll be buying additional sets of these wonderful magnetic building shapes.The build quality is very good, the colours are vibrant, and everything neatly packs away in a lidded and handled box after use.Great stuff!

strong magnets, brings out creativity in my three year old. She loves the toy. Has played everyday with it and enjoys making different shapes and she likes the fact that they stick together so well. She makes a rocket and a castle almost everyday. we also like the idea of building the giant wheel. i want to buy more pieces. should’ve bought a bigger set

The magnetic pieces are great, and work perfectly with our Magformers (they are the same size and you can combine sets). There is large amounts of play value in this toy, as well as educational benefits.HOWEVER, read the description carefully, and don't be caught out like I was12pcs Triangles, 24pcs Squares, 2 cartwheel - these are your only magnetic pieces1 windmill, 26 letters and 15 numerals - these are NOT magnetic pieces and just inserts and accessories to the magnetic pieces.Don't think you are getting 87 magnetic shapes, you are not.

I bought this for my children aged 8,5 and 2. They had great fun and played great together with this. There are picture instructions for them to follow as well as a chance for open ended play which really bought out their imagination. It comes in a little plastic storage box which is better than a cardboard box as it won't get broken. Over all a great toy just needed more actual building pieces.

The media could not be loaded.  This toy is amazing because they stick together and when you are bored. It is colorful and bright. The alphabet is good cause you can learn and people can make words out of the letters.

Best you ever purchased! Three boys aged 12, 5 and 3 and every day without fail these magnets come out. They really are amazing and keep the kids entertained for hours. They make some incredible structures and have not only helped from a colour and shape perspective they have also helped improve special awareness; structures built in 2d on the floor and lifted to make 3D shapes. Couldn't recommend these highly enough

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old nephew and he loves playing with it. Keeps him entertained for hours. It came speedily and I was very impressed with the customer service!

Have had this set for years. My girls played with it constantly but then packed it away. Now, after a few years out of sight, they love 0laying with it again.Is it possible to get 1 triangular piece from supplier as we lost one in the house move?
