Great product
Since back surgery, I needed the assistance to put my socks on and picked up off the floor, since it was not allowed to bend a lift or twist. The assortment of accessories made it a lot easier. The socks thing works like a charm, and the grabber is a little weak, picking me up close, it slips out between the grabber but you have to bunch it up a little bit so it has a lot more to grab a hold up.

WONDERFUL HELPER
ALL the pieces are perfect and so easy to use.I was recently diagnosed as having lymphedema. My concentration weakness is in my legs. I have plenty of problems walking. So, I have to use a walker to get around. I have to wear compression socks which are not easy to put on or take off. But my little helpers make my life so much easier. My teacher is just so perfect.

very helpful
The reacher and shoehorn were the most valuable after joint replacement surgery. The tool for putting on a sock was entirely too large. I wear a size 7 woman's shoe, and the sock tool was much too wide for any sock I would have tried to stretch onto it, which left me needing assistance for months with putting on my socks. The shoehorn was adequate, but I replaced it with one that was longer so it was easier for me to use. The reacher worked very well, and the little knob on the back was useful in removing socks.

Very useful products - so glad I bought them
An occupational therapist mentioned this hip kit to me and I checked it out on Amazon. I ended up buying three kits. One for me, one for a friend, and one for a relative. It is all easy to use and very useful for anyone who could use a little assistance with everyday chores. I highly recommend it.

Very helpful
Everything except the teacher/grabber was very helpful post-surgery. The sock aid is a Godsend. Definitely a must have if you are having spinal, hip or knee surgery!

not everything has any value.
As a package I think they picked a few bad eggs. The shower sponge has no sponge support what so ever, you're better off buying a loufa on a stick. The reacher has no grip strength if you grab your pant leg to pull it up they slide right through, i wont even attempt anything with weight more than 1 lb.Haven't figured out what good the elastic shoelaces are actually good for as they are much longer than most and with the reacher you still wouldn't be able to pull even tennis shoes on if the laces were in them.As far as the dressing tool it does what a dressing tool is designed to do and that is to assist getting sleeves or legs in position. The shoe horn is the sturdiest of the entire bunch this thing is durable, even if you accidentally get it too far into the shoe it isn't bending. As always you may just as well purchase each item individually get the quality items and forget trying to save money.

Good value as a set!
Not for long term use but perfect for after my surgery when some things are just out of reach or impossible to do. I find the sock aid to be the most useful. Itโs hard for smaller socks though but as long as they can stretch enough, the sock aid will get them on your feet. The reacher is not the most user friendly but it does the job very well. One thing or another will always be dropped so a reacher is a must when you are not allowed to bend yet. All these items for the price of one sock aid is a great deal! If you are having hip or similar surgeries, donโt overthink this, just get this set. If for long term use such as for physically challenged older people you will need to spend more and get sturdier items.

Not worth it
While it was nice to get all of this together after using the items for 6 weeks post hip replacement I'm not all that impressed by the quality.General comment: I'm 5'10". The sponge, grabber and shoe horn are a little bit too short.Grabber: magnet is helpful but fell out within a couple of days. Glued it 8n and all ok now. Elastic cord for grabber part stretches easily I've had to retie it a couple times now since it stays stretched and wont let me grab thinner items.Sock tool: hard plastic holds sock well but the unit itself is unusable without lubrication. The hard plastic sticks to my size 11 feet so well I cant pull it up to get the sock on once I greased up my heal with some hand cream I could manage it with mediocre success.Sponge: mehShoehorn: short

questionable quality
the item i wanted most was the sock assist. when i used it last night all i did was push the sock( compression socks) down my leg and when i went to push the sock over my heal the damn thing bent and it didnt take much force to bend it. all i want is one of these things to be strong enough to not bend . all they are is a piece of round wood stock with a hook on the one end screwed into the wood, the other end is a cheap piece of wire bent and shoved into the wood for the purpose of pulling or pushing i am quite sure it would not be to hard to install a piece of wire strong enough not to bend i am sure the cost to put use a stronger piece of wire would cost maybe an extra dollar???

Good ideas, poor quality.
I had a total hip replacement at the end of November and needed tools to help me cope during the recovery The shoehorn in this package is excellent. The grabber is lousy and does not really close. It does have a magnet if you ever have the need of one. The sock pull is too stiff and awkward. The wooden stick with hooks is very useful and of course came apart (poorly made). I managed to super glue it back together and will see how long it lastsHowever, for the price these can be useful. The best thing for me is the closable long plastic bag they came in which can be hung on a hook for storage.
