Best sealant and lubricant for vac
I am a fleet mechanic and I am constantly doing on a/c repairs on our vehicles. You can definitely use dielectric grease if you want, but if you really take pride in your work and want to do it right NYLOG is the way to go. I have stopped leaking schrader valves and fittings from releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere. This stuff just works. Our parts guys now keep this in stock in large quantities just for me. The other mechanics have started using this product instead of silicone grease and are just as happy with it. This stuff is great if you are a professional or a DIY'er.

Sticky as molasses
This stuff is sticky so wear gloves when applying. Works very well to take up small gaps around o-ring seats to seal high pressure A/C systems. If you're using UV leak detector, this goop glows bright blue, where the UV detector glow bright yellow/green. There is no accidentally mistaking one for the other.

Frequently mentioned on installation videos.
Seals compression fittings on pipes. Expensive, and worth it. Replacing lost refrigerant cost much more.

Good stuff!
Good quality stuff, well worth having it, i don't know how effective it is, because i never had a leak that i put it on that then fixed it or something like that, but i haven't had a leak on connections i have used it on, so thats something! Overall easy to use, and definitely worth going the belt and suspenders route when most refrigerants are so expensive now.

A must have
In doing flare fittings on a mini split ac installation this is a must have. Used this and a Yellow jacket torque wrench and tested the line with 530 psi of nitrogen.... No leaks. And use a Quality flaring tool also.

A must-have for flare fittings
For anyone who needs to assemble flare fittings (very common with ductless mini-split heat pumps and vintage automotive air conditioning systems) you really owe it to yourself to get a bottle of this. You only need a couple drops per connection, but this stuff works wonders. HVAC installers know that flare fittings are a very common point of failure in HVAC systems, but this product helps tremendously. It allows the pieces to move around just a little when assembling them, which allows you to easily find that "spot" where the flare sits just right on the fitting. This product also lubricates the threads and the interface between the pipe and the collar, which makes torquing the connection easier, and with very little change of damaging the flare (also a common problem with this type of connection). I think this is well worth the cost.
