When you open the hat the center pin does not line up so when you try to close it you have to actually forcefully reset the center pin so you can close it. I bought this for someone who is not physically able to pull this pin back in place each time so she has to either ask for help or leave it open all the time which does not allow her to keep it in her wheelchair so it is handy for her to reach it. Would not recommend this at all! Very disappointed!

For anyone who is as unconcerned about looking like a walking hot dog stand as I am and just wants to be hands free, then, I recommend this, which is so funny but functional that you will have shade and a good laugh to yourself (and maybe others) all while saying "look ma, no hands!". Slightly goofy looking, but serves a good purpose. I'm all about hands free, so if you're of a like mind, go for it. Fits into most handbags, like a click umbrella.

I got this for a sunshade while working in the garden, I get a few laughs from the Grandkids when I put it on but after a while, they wanted to wear it. I was quite surprised how light and comfortable it is. You have to pay close attention to line up the plastic pin to the apex of the umbrella when you open it. It is a little difficult to reset if you miss aligning the pin. You also have to give the plastic pin a good tug to collapse.Other than that it does what you expect it to do.If you don't abuse it, it should last for a good season or more.For the price, I'm pleased with the product.

I would totally give this product 5 stars if I didn’t receive this umbrella damaged. There are several holes in it and some of the metal rings that hold the fabric to the frame are puncturing the outside fabric. Both of these problems will cause rain to seep right through. One more thing is that you can’t return or ask for a replacement so I guess I’m stuck with it so I’ll try to fix it on my own. Otherwise pretty cool hat.

This broke the second time my daughter put it on her head. She was just sitting there and the band came apart. We looked at it and could see that all the stitching was coming apart - it's only held together by a little thread and paper tags. Don't waste your money on this.

I purchased this as a gag gift. The office I work in had major leaks this spring and matters only got worse when the roof repair started. My boss was running back and forth with buckets to catch the water. He made a joke about working with an umbrella, so I found this as part of his birthday gift. He absolutely loved it. Walked around with it on for a few days laughing and joking. On an even funnier note, a customer visiting the office liked it so much he went right online and purchased one as well.

I received the hat, but it was not rainbow colored. The colors were only green and blue. I purchased it for a spirit day at school, and I don't have enough time to send it back for the right one. It still works correctly, but I was disappointed that I didn't receive the product I thought I was getting.

Orders this as a gag gift. Some complained about not getting the same kind of rainbow unbrella as pictured but I did. Opens easily, but is very difficult to close - felt like I was going to break it. Finally got it to close and then it was a little easier after that. Overall, it does feel a little cheap - like the support pieces could break at any moment, but was worth the money for a fun gift.
