Love this remote control. Just plug it in and it just works after you install the batteries in the remote. I use it for my shop and turning on the VAC and off. Really helps save time and a game changer.

Good so far
Installed yesterday so can't speak to its longevity. Thus far it works as expected. Remote signal is strong. Agree with others regarding lack of weatherproofing on the unit.

Very helpful!
This seems to work great so far. The best part is you do not need line of sight in order for it to work. I use this to turn the dust collector on and off for my CNC Router. So much easier than jumping up and down. Well worth the money. Would definitely buy again

Tricky for me, you'll do better
I planned on using it to control a garage door, preventing my children from opening the garage door in the chill of winter. I couldn't get either remote to control the power unit. I took the remotes apart, removed the small plastic shielding strip (intended to prevent battery drain) put them back together, and neither worked. I flipped the batteries, tried everything. I could manually engage the power unit, so it was functional, but the remotes wouldn't control it. The instructions say to pull out the sliding battery piece. As it turns out, that's just to remove the shielding. The sliding tray has to be reinserted flush. Then the remotes work. Both remotes come with 2032 batteries. I've tested both, both work as intended. So, it's good. A little frustrating for me, but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I recognized the manufacturer's name and bought the product. It looks to be quality made and worked perfectly for me. I was able to turn my patio string of lights on & off from inside the house. Time will tell if it holds up.
