Light Roast (1 LB) Coffee Beans Don Tomas Nicaraguan Coffee - NEW 2017 Harvest

Don Tomas light roast coffee beans make a really fine cup of coffee.When I get up in the morning and brew a pot of coffee from freshly ground beans, I am rewarded with cup of delicious full bodied coffee with no bitterness. It makes coffee drinking one of my best experiences of the day.I am not a lover of really dark roasted coffee. So Don Tomas light roasted coffee hits the spot!

Extremely smooth and light, perfect breakfast or brunch coffee. Tried this on a lark after seeing it in the "customers also liked" section on Amazon. My go-to coffee has been Lavazza, (which I still love) but they don't offer much in the way of blonde/light roasts. Worked great out of my French press. Looking forward to trying their medium roast as well!UPDATE: Medium roast is excellent as well for the price. Great everyday coffee and the 5 pound size is extra economical when you can split it between home and office.

This is a true light roast coffee. I've tried many brands that advertise their coffee as "light roast" but they are all medium roast. The quality of the coffee is an open book in light roast - it isn't masked by harsh roasted flavors. Unfortunately, many have come to associate the flavor of heavily roasted (burned) coffee as the fundamental characteristic of good quality coffee- it is not. Don Tomas light roast is quality coffee with all its subtle robustness and richness coming from the quality of the beans.

I love this blonde roast with its super bright flavors. It smells amazing and I love waking up to the smell of this great coffee. I don't know too much about coffee but I do know that the roasting process is crucial as moisture level is highly correlated with taste. The higher caffeine levels in light roast coffee make this my go to coffee in the mornings. Thank you, Don Tomas.

I love the fragrance of fresh coffee as you open the bag for the first time, and found this one to have a delicate and sweet scent. I followed the suggested recipe (ratio of coffee to water) for brewing my first cup, and was quite pleased with its fruity, fresh flavor. The bag has an easy-to-open tab and is resealable. It comes in classic black and white colors and considering its price and quality, makes a great gift for the coffee lovers in my life.

I didnt notice when I bought it that it said 2017 harvest. So I was already going into this with a negative view. I'm not a fan of the taste, but I really need something somewhat fresh to compare these. I emailed them asking about their opinion on shelf life, but never received a response. So far I feel like the coffee tastes like it is, pretty much three year old coffee beans.

The review is 3 stars instead of 1 star because the caffeine level of this roast is absolutely insane ahhaha I appreciated it.However, (I drank this light roast with a 16-1 ratio, drip brew, burr hand grinder) I drink light roast to taste the flowery notes that accompany coffee before the roasters get to its beauty hahaha. Anyway, this roast was completely devoid of any such flavors. And moreover, it was incredibly bitter. If I didn't inspect the beans myself I'd have said this was a stale medium-dark roast :/
