Metra 72-6514 Speaker Harness for Select Chrysler/Dodge Vehicles

This product easily connected to the factory harnesses in the front driver and passenger side doors of my 2016 Jeep Patriot. I'm glad I searched on the Internet and watched a YouTube video of a man hooking these up on some 6X9 JBL speakers for his 2016 Jeep Patriot. I was able to connect my Rockford Fosgate R169X3 6X9 speakers correctly with these because someone who owned the vehicle before I did spliced and connected speaker wire to the same factory wiring which consist of the factory harness. Anyway, I am glad I purchased these even though Amazon states that this does not fit my vehicle. Overall, great product so one doesn't have to do modifications like there was done by previous owner.

We used these on our 2004 Sebring GTC. They fit the factory harness perfectly and hooked up to our aftermarket speakers with ease.

These speaker wiring harnesses plug directly into the factory speaker plugs so you don't have to cut any wiring. However, the polarity is backwards on these plugs at least on my Wrangler and I would guess all 2007+ Wranglers, but you will have to verify if that is correct on yours. The terminals that plug into the aftermarket speakers are polarity specific, (the negative is small and won't fit on the positive terminal) the leads need to be reversed. There are a few different ways to accomplish this, you can cut the leads and splice them back together opposite of how they come, you can cut off the terminal connectors and splice the correct size on, or what I did was disassemble the white plug that comes on these harnesses. I took a very small screwdriver and the plug opens up quite easily, then you need to stick the screwdriver in and release the tabs that hold the pin on the leads from the plug. You need to remove both of the leads from the plug and stick them back in reversed from how they originally were, took me maybe 60 seconds to do this on each plug. Overall once the polarity is reversed, they work perfectly. Seems to be impossible to find the correct speaker harness for Jeep JK's, but I think the only place I've seen them available is on crutchfield. Your mileage may vary.

Swapped out the rear speakers in my 2006 ram 3500, and this was the adapter I needed for the Alpine speakers. Connect the harness to both the existing speaker harness, and the new speakers was incredibly easy, and I've had no issues with the speaker connection.
