Or do they need to be refridgerated straight away?** A: Good question. I never thought of it before. I have ALWAYS "shelf stored" them and cooled them as needed though. Never had a problem doing it this way. **Q: Are the Sunny D bottles returnable?** A: Return the bottles? No. I purchased the Sunny D just FOR THE BOTTLES. They are terrific. I can but orange juice anywhere, but no one else has bottle like these. We refill the bottles with water and set them in the refrigerator. Always keep many of them sitting on the top shelf. Everyone in or family takes a bottle of water to bed with them at night. Sunny D bottles are the best because of the sippy lids on them. In bed at night we can just reach for the water, take a drink, and then put it back again, ALL WITHOUT LIFTING OUR HEADS FROM THE PILLOW. I know you may think I'm crazy but I have attached cup holders to both sides of my bed just for these bottles. These bottles wash in the top rack of the dishwasher just fine, if you place them on the spindles.
