Exactly what I needed
I’m making an address sign and needed a set of numbers that could be installed as offset from the base and could withstand the elements. These for the bill perfectly.I predrilled holes for the screws and put a dab of clear silicone in the holes before the screws went in to aid in permanency and water protection for the wood.My advice for installation is to pre plan your installation carefully before you drill or screw or hammer anything. Screw the bolts in the back of the number and place the number where you want it to ultimately be installed, double and triple check your placement. Once you found the right spot give a gentle tap on the number to mark tiny divots where you’ll make your drill holes. I have the luxury of a drill press but if you do not, I suggest buying some stop collars for your drill bits if you’ll be drilling holes by hand so you don’t drill too deep. Once your holes are drilled use a pair of pliers to screw the bolts into the numbers, slide the offsets on the bolt, then using a rubber mallet tap the number into the board. I put a cloth over the number and a board over the cloth and used a mallet to tap it into the wood. Just preplan everything and take it slow and it should be an easy install for you.
