Way better option than using felt socks
Way better option than using felt socks. These are easy to clean and I keep a little phosphate reducing media in each one(that needs to be changed often). I clean these out every 2-3 days and change the media every time. All the food particles are caught and I am sure you could throw in some filter floss if you wanted additional polishing. The quality is really nice and the shipping was very quick.

This sock is quality built. As expected, it allows the finer particles to pass through, but stops filament algae and is very easy to clean.

Not a 4” filter sock!
This item will not fit into a 4” filter sock holder like the ones found on my Red Sea Reefer 250. The base of the ring is wider then 4”.
