I am stressed...
GIGABYTE GB-GZ1DTI7-1070-NK Intel Core i7-6700K 16GB DDR4 GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8GB BRIX Mini-PC Systemhttps://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GB-GZ1DTI7-1070-NK-i7-6700K-GeForce-Mini-PC/dp/B01MRBB2C1/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490227199&sr=8-1&keywords=GB-GZ1DTi7-1070I really want to like this box.I like it's small size.I like it's powerhouse components: I7-6700K CPU, GTX 1070 GPU, 16GB mem, 256 SSD, 1 TB hdLots of good i/o ports (video, usb)I really trust Gigabyte, and have had only good experience with them over the last 10 years.Personally, I like it's design. In short there is a lot in this little package, certainly everything I am looking for.And finally, I got a good price on it.There are enough cables to get it running (no mouse or keyboard, didnt expect or want that). The one page documentation is a little light, but who cares.I like so much about this thing, it bugs me that I'll probably ask to return it.Because it wont stay running under stress testing.I dont want to load it up with software, tools, games and all before I see how it handles stress. So I loaded OCCT. None of the tests ever make it past 6 minutes, always failing with temp above 94 degrees (usually core 0)BTW- I'm not overclocking CPU, GPU, or memThere isn't much out there with regards to this box. So I have to go with gut feel. And as much as I like about this, I don't think it's good to have a system that can't get past 6 minutes of stress testing.I'm going to sleep on this. I'd like to reconcile the results. I'd like to hear from anyone else who had some good input on this dilemma.I suppose I should also see if returning it is even an option...Little issues:A little loud when under load, but not horrendous.Flaps on top dont open automatically.Headphone and microphone are interchanged in the "documentation" ( who reads that stuff anyways). The BIG problem:Stress test never make it past 6 minutes, always failing with core temp above 94 degrees (usually core 0)

Great System When On Sale
I am sad that this is under review by Amazon. I too purchased this for 1049 and haven't had any issues with the machine. I have a few practical plans to make this one of the most powerful and affordable 4K editing machines I could find.First things first - After watching and reading reviews, this compact system runs warm. It's a small plastic case with a full desktop processor and full length gaming graphics card crammed in it. I have never hit 100C but before first boot I cleaned off the old compound and put Arctic Silver 5 compound on the CPU. Extreme stress testing gives high temps (high 80's to low 90's) but idle is 34C, Motherboard hovers at 45C, and storage drives seem nicely isolated for lower temps, all things considered. Ambient temps in my non-AC cooled apartment are 75F or 24C. This isn't bad at all.A couple of things to speed this system up more for editing. - I removed the 1TB spinning drive and put it an external enclosure for backups of projects. - I put a 500GB SSD in it's place for media - I plan to replace the M.2 with a NVMe 960 EVO or PRO 500GB or 1TB - I put in a 120GB SSD for a scratch and cache drive (upgrade to 240GB or 500GB planned) - Eventually I will upgrade to 32GB of RAM so I can have additional programs up and running while editing (I like to multitask)Pros - Room for three drives (5 if you install WD Black2 Dual 1TB/120GB combo drives) - Fairly slim and compact - 5 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 3.1 (1 - Type A, and 1 Type C w/ Thunderbolt 3!) - GTX 1070 is awesome! - i7-6700K blasts through all tasks I throw at itCons - Only 1 M.2 SSD slot - Even the smaller Brix VR has room for 2 NVMe's and 2 - 2.5" SATA III drives - Front USB seems to randomly switch to USB 2.0 speeds. I have a wireless keyboard that requires a USB dongle and it seems to confuse the USB controller from time to time. When this happens, I unplug the keyboard USB dongle, plug in my USB card reader or SSD and then plug the keyboard. The only really annoying this is that this happens after each resume from sleep or reboot. - No SD reader on the front. I can dream right? - Not really a con but the computer gave me options to revert back to Win 7 and was installed with what appears to be a UK license. Did Gigabyte get a great deal on unused Win 7 UK OEM codes or something? I thought this would be setup for US if it is sold in the US. - There is an option to add additional power to the system via an external brick. Since we can, why can't we overclock and under volt? This should be added. We know it is "at your own risk". Having an unlocked processor that you cannot do anything with is a little odd.Despite the odd choices of how Windows was installed, that the front USB ports get confused, and we cannot overclock the system - For the price, you cannot touch building this system for the same price. This has allowed me to use the money I saved to make it fit my needs better than if I built a comparable system myself. That wasn't always the case, but this time it is... and I love it.I'll edit this review in the future to update on the reliability.

Screaming fast for the price, but support lacking
At first, many Oculus apps had a video card error and wouldn't load or run. To fix this, you have to buy an adapter to have 2 HDMI ports out of the same video card. The main card has only one HDMI output jacks. To get 2 you have to convert one of the other types of output jacks to HDMI. Phone Technical support doesn't know much. The real techs are text only through the website and they take a couple of days to get back to you. After some frustration, I now have a screaming fast computer at a good price. The stats are good on the machine, but support is overseas. Might be worth paying more to get better support with another company, but if you have more time than money, This computer has the highest performance per dollar that I could find.
