Good quality for novice calligraphers
These pens are wonderful. Only con is if you leave the cap off for any length of time, the ink dries in the tip and requires some fiddling to get ink to flow again. Otherwise these pens are wonderful!

Great fountain pens
I ordered these pens to try my hand calligraphy. These pens are very smooth at writing. They are easy to grip and I like the fact of them being disposable.

Not worth it.
Looks like a calligraphy pen but the nib is rounded like a ball point. It does not change with by shifting the tip of the pen. Line is uniform like a roller ball pen. Ink smudged easily and took long to dry.

Either Cheap Ink or Old Pens
As a writer and journalist I've long preferred hand-writing w/fountain pens over tapping away on keyboards, especially on first drafts. I discovered and became addicted to disposable fountain pens many years ago. Early on, the only place to find them was in art supply stores in the city, where, last purchase, I believe I paid around $3.19 per, but I could count on the pens lasting a decent amount of time. As for these, (that LOOKED like the ones i used to buy 3 or 4 at a time) I was thrilled to find larger quantities at a significant discount, so I ordered away. First batch... I went through rather quickly; I concluded perhaps I'd been negligent somehow, as by second or third use (and yes, i capped them properly in between uses) they no longer worked. I could See ink still IN the pen, but either the nub was inferior or the ink was poor quality (as is my hunch). Or perhaps there were air bubbles in the barrel...whatever it was, one use and the pens were basically worthless as ink simply wasn't flowing as it does in a decent (even disposable) fountain pen.Per my last order not one single pen (out of 12) lasted more than a journal page. Where once a fountain pen brought joyful things to mind: reflective writing time, dashing off new ideas straight from my head to paper in the moment, etc.... It occurred to me earlier this week as I went for the last 3 pens in the batch (none lasting more than a few lines, and those, not without me having to pause to shake the pen, check the nub, etc. ) my latest mind association when spotting what once were my favorite pens is: frustration, heavy hen-scratching on scrap paper, etc. (Nothing more frustrating than scribbling away just to try to get the dern inking flowing on a brand new pen!) Eventually, some would start to flow... but not smoothly; not a single one flowed consistantly. I would shake them; store them nub side down (with cap on of course). I would run them under hot water... There is no consistency in the product. (You know it's bad when you can't complete so much as a sentence without having to stop and shake your brand new pen with ink you can SEE inside.) Hate to say it, but I think the Pilot company may have the corner on this market; for my money, it's "get what you paid for" ~ So I think I'll stick with my local art supply store when it comes to disposable fountain pens (even though my nearest store is 45 minutes away). Bottom line, if they don't work or you can't count on them to continue working when your mind's going faster than the ink (not) flowing out of your pen, then maybe it's time to find a different pen.For the record, I hate leaving bad reviews; I'd much prefer raving over a product well made or a company that went above and beyond. But as it pertains to my experiences with these pens, sadly I am unable to report either.

CAPS FAULTY
AS A 50+ YEAR FOUNTAIn PEN USER I am always on the hunt for a good, inexpensive fountain pen to give to friends as an "introduction" to the delight of "painting" words with liquid ink! These are perfect for my needs. (And they are available in a good variety of colors, especially my signature color : PURPLE) Writes smoothly and a good size (not too skinny) barrel. HOWEVER, the caps of terribly "designed." After just a few uses (2-5 times) the caps crack, become to loose and will not stay in the pen. In a set of TWELVE pens ONLY 3 (THREE!) remained sealable a unusable. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

great disposable foiuntain pens
i use fountain pens, for the last 45 years, and have some that cost >$600. These are inexpensive and work better than most fountain pens. Never leak. Crisp writing.
