DIY Dash Mount.
I took a gamble when I purchased this as I wasn’t sure it would work how I wanted. I just upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro Max and my older magnetic dash mount wouldn’t work unless I put a metal plate on the back of my phone. I wanted to upgrade to a MagSafe mount but the one’s i found were overpriced or had terrible reviews. I wanted to reuse my original mount, so I modified it by removing the rubber pad and took out the original magnets. I filled in the holes with some hot glue to make it flat, then put a layer of 3M Extra Strength Automotive Double sided tape. I added a layer of tape in the circular divot on the magnetic base as well. I pulled the plastic strips off and adhered the base to the dash mount. Viola, I now have a MagSafe Dash Mount. If my original mount was circular, I would have only needed tape on one side.Overall, I wish it was slightly thicker with stronger magnets, but as it is, it works really well. I’m definitely considering buying another.

Great magnets. Adds too much weight
I think this is a great MagSafe product that attaches really well. I just wish it didn’t weigh so much. I’m considering trying the regular circular base as it’s said to weigh half as much; but that it has fewer magnets is concerning. Also, worth noting that the magnetic tape seemed to be peeling a bit and I just started using it a few days ago

Combined mine with Moft Wallet Stand
The MagSafe-enabled Moft Wallet stand is notorious for a weak MagSafe connection. So I bought the original non-MagSafe version, and attached this MagSafe adapter to it. What a difference! It holds firmly to my iPhone, and is still relatively thin (very important to me). And the combined weight is about the same as the MagSafe-enabled wallet.I wish Moft would have designed their wallet to use this type of magnetic attachment, but being a hack, this is the easiest alternative I’ve ever put together. (note that I did add a few dabs of crazy glue to the adhesive to give it a more permanent hold onto the Moft)I can imagine this kind of combo would work well for other things too, like USB power banks or whatever else you want to make MagSafe-enabled.

May not be as strong as expected.
I’m using it with a Mous case that is MagSafe compatible. It adheres well but it’s not something I can trust. Also a popsocket brand popsocket has a hard time attaching itself to the indentation on the back of the plate. It came loose in less than a week and phone fell on my face. LOL. Thinking the back is too slick. Next I’ll try sanding the plate and using epoxy. Not that I would have to as the item is literally made for a popsocket.

Very Strong Magnets
Been using for a month now, and the magnets are strong enough to hold onto the phone. If you wants the best strength you want a case that support magsafe so the magnets are as strong.
