Of all the bucket drums the great grand kids gravitate to this head on a 5 gal. bucket. Fun to see it being passed around and played

It has been hard to leave this thing alone - Remo puts out a "gateway" percussion tool that is well made, sounds great, and is most affordable. Drop an additional 4 dollars at your local big box home improvement store for a bucket and you are all set. Lots of literature describes the benefits of drumming - this is a cost effective way to get involved. I plan on making gifts of these - tons of enjoyment for not many dollars.

This fits nicely over a bucket, and sounds good for what it is. I also have the "controlled sound" clear head with snare wires, and it's a fun snare-drum substitute.Amazon's product descriptions for these Remo heads are not helpful, though. The descriptions show the thicknesses (10, 15, and 20 mil) and descriptions (bright and dark), but the descriptions don't say how the thicknesses relate to the descriptions. The insert that comes with the drum head does, however. For your information, here's the relationship:10 mil = Bright (product RP-1013-71-SD099)15 mil = Medium (product RP-1513-71-SD099)20 mil = Dark (product RP-2013-71-SD099)Those are for the "Skyndeep" heads. The clear head with black dot is 10 mils clear plus 5 mils for the black dot (product RP-0313-71-10).

Awesome tone and very convenient. Great learning tool and a great price. I ordered all 3 and the only dissapointment was the delayed shipping on the 20ml.
