DancoTub and Shower 3-Handle Remodeling Trim Kit for Sayco, Chrome (39620)

I have a 1974 home with an original bathtub. We moved in 11 years ago and I struggled with the shower valves finding parts and pieces at the home improvement store. I ordered this kit after the last repair 2 years ago and it was time to install today. WOW what a difference, everything went together easy, works as it should and wish I had done this years ago. The only caveat the supplied tool was a slightly different size than my originals so I had to use a wrench, but assembly was easy. The directions don't mention this but a little petroleum jelly on the threads and keyed handles will hopefully make future disassembly easy. You will also need a seat tool to change you seats.

After trying unsuccessfully to find items individually, we found this kit and it was a great price. It has everything that my husband needed for our shower. No issues.

Overall this is a great value. It comes with all the pieces needed to refresh your shower knobs, valves, and seats. However, I found the valve too that comes with it to be useless. It's too short. I also needed to order the valve seat tool separately so that held up the job. Valve seats are no joke. Due to the difference in build of my old valve, these would not seat without changing the valve seats. I suspect the old valve seats in my shower to be 40 years old. They were seized in. Even a regular valve seat tool wouldn't get them out. So just be prepared if this is a DIY project, that you will need some additional tools. Overall it's a great deal and seems of good quality.

Great transaction, nice quality faucet and kit They are exactly like the original 1975 Sayco brand faucets that needed replacing. We searched everywhere and then, we found them on Amazon simply by adding the word "Sayco" in the search bar. Easy to install in less than an hour.
