Easy to read, very accurate squareness, pretty accurate graduations but probably not good enough for fabrication layout, but more than good enough for carpentry and woodworking. Gets really hot if left in the sun. Light weight. Well worth $22. If I don't drop it, I expect it to remain a great tool for decades to come.

Background: I'm a weekend woodworker/furniture maker. I needed a large square for large pieces of furniture I'm making.Pros- Very light- Very Easy to read- The measurements I tested with a high precise rule and the markings where dead on.Bad- The square I purchased was not dead on square. Saying that, square enough for rough work but not even close for precise work.My thoughts: If you need a square for Contract rough work...excellent. Looking for a square for woodworking...stick to your engineering square.

I absolutely love this framing square! The yellow lines against the black background, show up very clear. Its easy to quickly layout a Common Rafter. Also, the #'s and Lettering are more than just painted on, they're also engraved into the aluminum framing square itself. So if a little caution is used on the job, it will be something that last as long as I'll be doing carpentry and then some.Anyways, great piece of equipment and I am very happy with my purchase.

Markings on this square are high visibility and easy to read. Its light weight makes it possible to keep it within easy reach while working, and also easier to hold it securely against the workpiece than a heavier steel square. This is especially important when the work requires one to hold a square in an awkward position in order to mark a line, or to ascertain that the workpieces are square.

Just what I needed -- markings are engraved into face as well as painted.

After waiting about a month and having paid $ 27.94 for the product plus $ 58.80 for shipping (I live in the Canary Islands), my carpenter square finally arrived. Unfortunately, I can't comment on it, which would have been my most cherished wish, but I can on the type of packaging they use in that "company"! The packaging itself, I liked it! In itself, the packaging is a fairly robust plastic box, in a matt black tone, and hollow inside ... so hollow that they forgot to put the carpenter's square inside! The precision of the square ... I don't know! Easy reading ... I can't tell it apart! And the thickness? Microscopic and nonexistent! Definitely! In the photo, the carpenter square looks fantastic ... but the "company" ... a fraud in my case!

This has become an invaluable tool for a modest home improvement project. Sturdy and easy to read.
