I wanted a cheaper pair of joycons so I could try customizing buttons without loosing a lot of money. These work great and connect to my switch just like regular joy cons. Work in detached and handheld mode.

Update - The company reached out and offered me a free pair to re-evaluate. I received them today and can confirm the same issue around failing to charge like stock joycons is present on these as well. I spent a little bit of time looking carefully and figured out the problem is due to the rails being too tight against the rest of the controller. When you go to slide them in to any joycon accessory or charger, it's not smooth like the stock joycons. You have to kind of force them in. I believe this is preventing the proper contact to the charging dock. I also highly suspect either the controllers or what you attach them to would become damaged after some time due to the amount of force put on the rails. Personally I'm not going to risk using them.I wanted a pair of cheaper joycons for my kid so decided to try these out. First they only paired after attaching them to the switch. When I tried to pair them while in grip order menu they were never detected. After attaching and removing them we were able to use them but then I went to charge them and my dock flashes indicating a problem with the controller.

Virtually the same as the official controllers.There is some resistance when you slide them onto the console, the remotes vibrate more for some reason??, the texture is slightly different but you probably won't notice, and lastly I belive that the coding is a bit different as the program I use to modify my joy con colors isn't compatible with these (they appear white on the switch, but I was trying to mod the buttons to be pink :) )So far they seen to work fine and no drifting until so yay ! Plus the price. I'd say its worth it if you just need some extra remotes and don't mind the above differences ^
