My adle shower handle started to spin and I thought all I had to do was tighten the allen head screw. Nope, the plastic insert of the kohler handle had broken. Looked up the part number and ordered this and bam it fit, easy to replace and solve the turning handle issue for a few dollars instead of a plumber for $200 just to walk in the door.

The old part disintegrated. But a quick google search brought up a repair and this part. For less than $2, the shower is fixed and works perfectly. If your handle spins, there a good chance this part is broken. ADVICE - Put the drain stop in before unscrewing the hex screw that is holding the handle on (which only needs to be unscrewed enough remove the handle).

My old one had a crack in it and this was super cheap and very easy to replace! Very happy to find it on Amazon as finding something like this a hardware store can be overwhelming.

I have searched this replacement for long time and everywhere, including the original producer kohler’s website, eBay, and Lowe’s and Home Depot, using different names. Nowhere i can find this little piece b/c this kind of faucet is out of production.After in store visits of Lowe’s and Home Depot I was so desperate but I know the exact name from there is handle adapter. I tried again using Google search and I found it here on Amazon finally. What a surprise!!! I ordered it w/o hesitate and it is the perfect fit!!!It is less than $1.5 including prime delivery on the second day! It’s kohler genuine product! For those who complain it is too expensive, what do you expect?I will order a few more for backup. I’m sure once this little piece is out here you need to replace the whole faucet next time with professional plumber that would costs you at least like $500.

Amazing part, had problem with my handle slipping for some time. Was planning to get plumber to look at it, maybe costing about $75 dollars for labor. Watching youtube videos, opened the handle and found this plastic part worn out. just ordered it for $1.5 with next day Prime shipping. Easy to put in the part.
