OPINail Lacquer, Award for Best Nails goes to…, Blue Nail Polish, 0.5 fl oz

‘Award For Best Nails Goes To..’ is from the OPI Hollywood Collection.This is listed as a blue polish and on first glance I did think that it looked like a very dark inky blue but on closer inspection it looked more of a dark purple/blue.The first coat applied a little unevenly, but I had applied it very thin. a second coat built the colour a little better but I felt it needed a third coat to make it fully opaque. I have quite pronounced ridges in my nails but this polish gave my nails a beautifully smooth and shiny finish which I was really pleased with. I found the brush easy to use as it is slightly wider and seems to follow the curve of the nail perfectly, it helped me achieve a faster and much neater finish than I usually get using other brushes - especially when using darker colours!Even though I applied 3 coats, I think 2 slightly thicker coats would have been sufficient, but drying time was very fast so it really didn’t take long and was worth the extra effort.In normal light this polish looks like a dark navy blue but when under bright light it has a bright violet hue which at first I thought was the polish looking uneven - it took a while for me to realise it wasn’t! It is quite a deceiving blue that looked really dark, serious and sombre one minute and a brighter more cheerful purple/blue shade the next!I really love the unusualness of this polish and the quality of the finish is fabulous. at £13.90 (2/2/21) I highly recommend this product... it definitely gets an award from me ;)

Colore bellissimo come da foto, è un blu notte brillante che ho rafforzato con un top coat lucido sopra. Non ho messo una base sotto, speriamo che non macchi le unghie. Si stende bene sulle mie dita piccoline, sulle unghie più grandi ho dovuto dare due passate per avere il colore pieno. Si asciuga velocemente. È la prima volta che lo indosso quindi non so dire nulla sulla durata/tenuta. Per il momento mi ritengo super soddisfatta della tonalità di blu che era quella che desideravo. Mi sento di consigliarlo!! Bravo O.P.IAggiornamento: ho dovuto affrontare un trasloco e quindi le mie mani hanno lavorato 3 giorni, lo smalto si è sbeccato naturalmente ma non più di tanto. L'ho rimesso da capo con base e top coat e sono sicura che durerà tantissimo. Sono contenta di dire che NON MACCHIA LE UNGHIE!!

Era da tempo che cercavo uno smalto di qualità di un bel blu non perlato. Trovato! È vero che vira un pochino sul viola, ma è molto brillante.
