Smaller than expected
My 6 lb Chi has to pee on something. Put it in the middle of the potty pad. Perfect!

Oh yes, I AM using it for male Maltese to heist his little leg on.
I purchased the large and it is heavy and sturdy enough. I put the potty pad about 4 inches up the wall on one side put the "hydrant" next to wall. It is his little hydrant and it holds down the potty pad. A pure bred Maltese is only 5 to 7 pounds and are very small. This works perfectly. Even though the manufacturer seems aghast at seeing used this way, ha,ha.

Different use of this toy
My indoor boy dog is little and needed something to pp on during the day. Irs washable and does.the trick

Works great
Expected it to be larger, but works for my 2 chips who use pee pads.

GREAT FOR FROZEN TREAT
Three of these "hydrants" hold almost a whole (12 oz.) can of dog food. I stuff these with my doggie's favorite canned food, put them in a zip-lock, and freeze them. He's not a heavy chewer of rubber toys (he's a 45 lb. SP, and he WILL destroy ANY stuffed toy in short order) but he loves these things, does no damage to them, and spends about 20 delightful minutes licking and bouncing the food out.

Lasts longer than expected
Yes my dog can chew the ends off, however, the rubber lasts longer than I expected or maybe my dog just likes to make this one last? She doesn’t tear up stuffed toys but does love to shred rubber toys in minutes so for this to be so cheap and last a month in our house is a success!

My dog doesnt use it
Bought for a leg lifting male shih tzu who gets pee everywhere. Since day 1 he did not like this hydrant. The large is also really big in person

Intended this for Chi puppy pee pads to train male. Turns out he much prefers to chew on it. Once older and on healthy snacks they will fit in the bottom.

Works well for stuffing with dog food
This is the large size hydrant pictured beside an XL Kong for size reference. My dog is not a super chewer and I love using this for enrichment. Works great when filled and then frozen with damp kibble inside.

Great chewing toy
I actually purchased this fire hydrant to train my dog to potty indoors but as soon I put it down he grabbed it and started chewing on it. It's become one his favorite chewing toys 😆 lol 😆

Not large at all
It's about the same size as a puppy Kong. Thing would be a more accurate description.
