If you or a close friend or family member has chronic neck pain, you know how awful it can be. My mom was in a terrible car accident years ago, and the only thing that eases her suffering is massage. I got this for her in the hopes that it would give her some relief, and give my dad a rest. My mom is not the most technologically inclined person, so I was a little concerned that she might have trouble operating it. Sometimes my presents to her go by without comment, but she called me within a week of receiving this raving about it. She hasn’t had any trouble operating it, so it might work for the elderly people in your family as well.

I was very skeptical of the low price and almost went with another model but WOW this TENS neck unit is amazing! I love that it has heat, that it has several modes, and its easy to adjust the intensity. Worked right out of the box, be sure to hold the on button down on the unit for a few secs. and the light will turn blue. I was getting frustrated and thought it wasn’t working but then I realized I wasn’t holding the button down long enough to turn it on. It’s smaller and lighter weight then expected, which is another plus! I plan on using this at work and at home so the bag it comes with will be convenient. I may however order a 2nd one to keep at work.....since I’m there as much as I’m home....you know....typical for most of us. I has cervical stenosis and arthritis in my neck. My Dr suggested this type of unit, time will tell if it helps but it sure feels good while in use. If I could give this 10 stars I would. My husband does not like the “tingling shocking” feeling it gives but to me it’s heaven. I will confess though that I had it on the maximum intensity (which is great for me) when I placed it on his neck.....ooops. If you are not sure .....this is the one to try first, you will be glad that you did! One other thought....if you suffer from tension headaches this may help also, I plan on giving that a try next time I have one....you know from that 40plus hour work week lol. I’m wearing it now for the 2nd time and it just turned off itself after 15 mins. That’s a good thing otherwise it just might become a daily waking hour accessory for me lol. Good luck and enjoy!!!!UPON REMOVING IT: My pain, prior to using this for two 15 min. sessions, was about a 5 (when I turned my head to the right). I just took it off and I have much better mobility and less pain. I did put a little bit of lotion on prior to the first 15 mins but nit the 2nd so I do have a little bit of redness on back of my neck.

I have tried a few tens units for your neck and this one is definitely the best. It has a small remote that attaches magnetically to the side when not in use. It can be so tricky to try and manage controls on your neck where you can't see them and the remote totally fixes that issue. I was worried about losing the remote but it easily attached to the side and doesn't add any bulk of getting in the way. I am able to use it multiple times with heat before it needs to be charged, which makes it great for travel. The nice bag for holding it and the remote make it even easier to bring with me.Make sure you lightly wet your neck before you use it, a wet paper towel is great for this. The pads are springy and conform well to my neck. I have had no issues with being able to get a good connection, even when there is a bit of hair in the way. It is a far superior connection to any gel pads with a tens machine. One round of heat and stim in the evening leaves my neck feeling relaxed and helps melt the stress of the day away.I highly recommend this neck massager, especially if your suffer from tension headaches or neck pain.

Out of the box:The unit is quite small. This will impact my planned uses, but hopefully it will still work on part of my neck.It comes with, and apparently requires, gel pads. The product does not say it comes with them or needs them in the description. I have found some that "look" like they are similar for another $20, sigh.More to come with use of the unit.Used the unit multiple times, seems easy enough and works well for what it is designed for. Was still hoping it was bigger so I could angle it on my neck to hit more spots, but such as life.The gel pads don't do much, nor last long. I certainly won't be buying any. It seems they would last one time, maybe. They certainly didn't last long on my neck during multiple consecutive uses. I've been using the unit without the pads with no issues.the heat is warm, the intensity is good enough being that close to the brain.The unit beeps with the use of the remote to acknowledge the command, so I like that.Overall, a pretty good unit for the price so far.

This was a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She let me try it a couple of times and I loved it, but she uses it a ton and reminds me every time she puts it on how great it is. "Have I mentioned how much I love this thing?" Has replaced "you sick bastard" as her most uttered phrase. And that's saying something because i really work at it. She loves it and i got huge points for buying it for her. Get one for yourself and you too will stop lamenting what a bastard I am. Seriously, this thing is great.
