Ample size to manage the very heavy and hot lid. Still use cooking gloves, but it offers a better grip and is more attractive.

I got the fish to put in my 3.5q Le Creuset Braiser (super heavy lid) and it works perfectly! I was afraid it wouldn't be large enough for that monster lid, but it's very sturdy and as easy to use as the LC knob.Very easy to install, just be careful to not scratch or chip the enamel while doing it, have the pan on top of something soft and well secured.The rooster I got from another vendor and put it in my 3.75q Staub French Oven's much lighter lid, simply perfection.

First, let's agree: No one NEEDS this knob.With that out of the way, the rest is very easy:It looks great.It has the perfect size and shape to handle the HUGE lid of my dutch oven.(The clearance is large enough, so I can grip the knob without burning my knuckles. I have a rooster and the snail, I would be concerned about gripping the pig securely when everything is hot and I'm in a rush.)It makes me smile every time that I look at it.It makes my dutch oven look 2x as good.I am very happy with my purchase.I would recommend it to anyone with a dutch oven. (If not for practical - then for "therapeutic reasons")I would buy it again.

The chicken knob made an excellent addition to our 20cm Staub dutch oven. It looks and feels exactly like we expected. Since the bolt was included, I was able to install it shortly after it arrived. (Yes, you will need a Phillips screwdriver.) We are totally happy with it, and already ordered another animal knob for our other Staub.

Very happy with the actual ‘pig’ knob, very well made and finished, however, two items to share;1. The cost of this knob was much more than the ‘Bull’ knob made from the same company, a little perplexing ... if it was not for a gift, I would not have purchased it.2. The knob half inch screw was too short for the standard Dutch oven pot lid, the replacement screw was not costly just an inconvenience to locate a replacement with a one inch screw.

Added to a small staub dutch over. Easy to grip. Stays a little cooler than the brass knob that it came with so it doesn’t eliminate the need for an oven mitt/pot holder when on the stove top for an extended period. I like to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen ... this is just a “little happy”.

I love my Staub Dutch ovens- I have two and I like the stock knobs, but these just give it a little extra panache. The snail is so cute and very French! I do have one 9qt Le Cruset, and I DETEST the stock stainless knob. I was so glad to find that the Staub knobs fit the Le Cruset as well! No more struggle to pick up the pot. The snail knob is large and very easy to get ahold of. A good purchase indeed.

This is a very sturdy knob. It feels good in my hand when lifting the lid. Better than the standard knob. Very pretty, too.

Cute but expensive

I love it!I can't wait for my new basil 28cm pot to arrive so I can pop it on.
