Purchased for 250lb and the crush height is about 1/2 or 3.5 inches.

I am not sure but the boosters are great we love them

Q: What is used to weight it down, marbles?

I never checked to see what the specific material is, but the outer, blue material has small holes to allow water to get into the inner, absorbent material. The inner material acts like a super sponge. If you lay the booster on the water surface, within a few seconds, the water is absorbed, and the booster sinks to the bottom of the tub. When you're done using it, you can hang the booster over the tub. The water inside will drain out quickly.

Q: Is zipper on side or bottom of pillow? Pictures show both locations!

for me, i turn the pillow over so that zipper is underneath...don't want to have a zipper under your butt!
