Met my expectations on history, points of interest and life in Lebanon.

Excellent book! I kept it with me for my entire 3 week visit as we roamed from Beirut to the south and back up to Byblos, Tripoli, The Cedars, Tyre, Sidon, and many more amazing places! Paired with a reliable car and Google Maps, this is the perfect guide. EsseI would not have been able to see my homeland in such an enjoyable and educational way. The hotel and restaurant recommendations are spot on. Saved so much time and headache by using this book. And the historical perspectives presented here are essential reading for anyone wanting to learn more about Lebanon.

I read a travel book every eight weeks. This one will go with me to Beirut. It is thorough and well laid out.

Very comprehensive and good guide, with some nice pictures to give you travel inspiration. I found it super useful with the usual advice on safety, culture, infrastructure, how to get around, etc. Obviously we had to rely on our taxi drivers advice during the intense protests, but otherwise it was really useful.

Acquistata per un viaggio a Beirut e in Libano fatto tra aprile e maggio: la guida è stata puntuale, precisa, dettagliata con un buon quadro storico descrittivo per capire la complessità libanese. Da consigliare!

Normalerweise verwende ich Lonely Planet Reiseführer und habe zum ersten mal einen Brandt Travel Guide gekauft, weil Lonely Planet keinen aktuellen Guide über den Libanon hat. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Buch, es enthält alle wichtigen Informationen, auch gute Tipps für Individualreisende, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel etc. Bei den Restaurant-Tipps würde ich mir ein bisschen mehr Low-Budget-Optionen wünschen, ansonsten alles super.

英語、日本語書で。以前はロンプラ、歩き方もレバノンを扱っていたが、排斥した。西遊旅行あたりからレバノンツアーが出ているので、一定の治安は保たれているのだろう。現在、信頼が置ける唯一のガイドブックである。
