Difficult to Open and Close; Small Interior
Even following the directions, it is difficult to open due to the friction on parts of the box which makes it really difficult to open and even worse to close. Purchased as an 18th birthday gift for my super-bright Nephew. My husband, who has strong hands and is good at puzzles, followed the directions to open it, but said it was tough as the pieces didn't easily slide. The gift card I bought didn't even come close to fitting inside, as the interior is teeny. Instead, I placed a hundred bucks (folded twice), which barely fit inside, and then started the daunting task of closing it step by step. I was unable to do it--it took my husband three tries to close it (again with the friction making parts tough to move). The plan is to give my Sister-n-Law the instructions to give my nephew, after he's spent sufficient time trying to figure the combination. He'll need the instructions, and a lot of force, to get it open. I regret this purchase.

Can they count?
I really enjoy the Japanese puzzle boxes and bought this one as a gift for a friends wedding. I was disappointed when I open the box to put money inside I found that it was only a 10 step not 21 step. Too late to do anything else a gifted the 10 step box. The quality of the box was great just was not the one I ordered

Well made wooden box
I bought this gift box for my husband. I put his gift inside of this box and gave it to him. Once he saw this gift box, he was impressed that this box is well made. There are some tricked to open this box. It’s not just simple gift box. It’s like solving puzzle to open it. It took just about 35 minutes to open it for my husband. It’s fun and beautiful box. I also bought for myself too. It feels happy to have a same box as a couple. I highly recommend this box !!!

A surprise challenge!
Very well made. Joints are completely inconspicuous and do not reveal themselves at any point until the box is opened. Also it's just a pretty box

Nice Product
I got this item as a birthday present for my friend who likes puzzles.He was very pleased! It took more than an hour to open this trick box!He said "When I was able to open, my impression is wonderful!I'd like to try more steps! Thank you for your impression!".
