These gloves are exactly what I was hoping they would be -- sturdy, well-made and heat-resistant. I heat with wood and I need a good pair of gloves to avoid injury. These reach almost to my elbow and have a double layer of leather sewn onto the fingers and palms where you would expect the wear points to be. They are thick and bulky, as they need to be for maximum protection. I wouldn't try to pick up anything smaller than a log with them.

This set of gauntlet gloves allows you to tend a Solo Bonfire firepit without melting your clothing or jackets. The gauntlets are roomy and allow the sleeves of a jacket to slide in easily. They fit my hands well (I have large hands). Protect very well from the heat and allows you to place logs into the firepit easily and safely. Price was also great. Would recommend.

I heat the first floor with wood stove heat late Nov through mid April. I'm going into my second wood burning season with these gloves. They're great. Finding a pair of wood stove gloves that fits a woman's hands is very hard -- and these fit! They do the job. I can reach into a fire and adjust a log if I need to. A big plus is that the leather is supple. Grip is excellent. I'm glad I found these.

These gloves seem to work well and keep heat off hands when using for a wood stove. I have in the past bought Princess Auto gloves (watson) and they wear out very fast. These are obviously more money, but you get what you pay for. I will buy again. I have double X hands and they fit well after a couple of days. A bit tight at first but nice now.
