Close but no bargain!
Despite its relatively low price this product is no bargain. The only valuable piece in this kit is the actual color card. The accompanying "software" and other information is simply an assortment of information freely available on the internet. The box is flimsy. As for the card, it could potentially be of great use if it weren't for the fact that it is flimsy. It is made of very thin cardboard and paper and thus totally unusable in the field; I doubt it would survive three trips to the great outdoors. It does not appear to have any smudge or water resistance whatsoever. While the color patch side appears to be well calibrated and the patches are non reflective, the reverse side, the 18% gray card (perhaps the single most important reference tool available to the photographer) is printed on semi-glossy paper and it is just too reflective to allow correct metering or white balance settings. In short, the card is only about 50% usable. For those who paid less than $10 it may represent a decent value. I paid $25, and at that price I rather spend more and get something more durable in the field...

Educational tool
Would you pay the price of this product for a class in white balance? You can educate yourself by using it. You will find that doing white balance is a key step to better images -- but the Kard is not a magic bullet, and probably no other aid to white balance, too.The angle you hold the card for a reference shot can have a big effect on how much help the shot will be for the real shot you took just before or after. It's convenient to cut the card in two between the grays and the colors. The grays strip fits in a shirt pocket.

Must have for every photographer.
Great little cards to have around in your camera bag, and at a phenomenal price. It's nice that they are two sided, one with multiple colors, and one side that's majority gray. Definitely helps the quality of the photos when I use the cards to be able to determine the white balance. A must have for any photographer's bag.

Nice try but dont waste your money
I was excited to get a color chart to help me be able to get consistent accurate color from my camera, but this won't deliver.I received the card in god condition but there is one big problem the card is just an offset print of a color chart, with a semi-reflective finish. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I tried it out, and it is really hard to not get a reflection from your light source, which then will throw off your color balance.I would have been better off just buying a good quality White Grey & Black card set.

Not the good one
This item is NOT going to create color profiles in Lightroom or Photoshop like the good one will. If you want a visual indicator for manual calibration across camera, monitor to the printer I guess you could use this. It would have been better to put this money toward the good one, Xrite color checker.

Gear for The Studio
The Digital Image Flow DGK Color Tools Multifunction Color Chart is just what I needed for my digital studio. I shoot a lot of artwork for artist and I need to get accurate color every time. This color chart helps me achieve color prints that are right on the money. When used with monitor and printer calibration software and hardware it eliminates the guess work in producing color prints that are color correct every photo shoot. I high recommend in keeping this in your studio and in your camera bag when shooting on location.Wookieman: Photographer & Visual Artist
