THE BEST
I have used it more than 10 times and it does what it promises. I even used it for bread (!) and I did not notice anything negative that I saw in other reviews.

Scrapes the bowl as advertised
Maybe too well. The flexible edges are showing considerable wear after just a few cakes. And it is a bit difficult to clean the ridges where the flexible edges attaches to the paddle. Love the idea, but a simple swipe with a spatula during mixing with a regular paddle will probably be the way I go.

works perfect in 5 qt bowl
wipes the side of the bowl as it mixes. Had to find out what size bowl my mixer uses because got one that didn't reach all the way to the side or bottom. there are many different size bowls.. this is for the 5 quart straight up lift mixer. Don't know if this will work in tilt up design

KA-6LR Review (not the KA-5LR) LOVE THESE RUBBER SIDED PADDLES
I am trying to write a review for the KA-6LR but it is linking to the KA-5LR.I actually have both the 5LR and the 6LR. I have both a Professional 5-qt Lift-Bowl Itchen-Aid mixer that is over 20 years old, and a refurbished 7-qt Professional Lift Bowl Kitchen-Aid mixer. I have used the KA-5LR for several years now and have about three on hand at any time to be able to switch beween different cake batters without having to wash the paddle in between. Same for the American Buttercream Frosting I make which can be made from soft to stiff depending on my cake design needs.I was thrilled to find that there is now a KA-6LR for the standard 7-quart Lift Bowl mixer as one has not been on AMAZON before. I purchaed one and I will be purchasing a couple of more for the same reasons I have listed for the 5LR. I absolutely LOVE the 6LR rubber sided paddle. It fits the 7-qt bowl snuggly which I thought would be a problem, but it did absolutely fantastic on my double batch (4-lbs confectioner sugar) frosting at stiff consistency. I do not need to scrape the bowl anymore, but I do have to scrape the beater halfway through the mixing cycle because dry flour, mix or sugar can sometimes get caked on the sides of the rubber. But no big deal. So easy to use. Both the 5LR and the 6LR are heavier than the past models - much improved. I have only had one problem with an early model 5LR where the rubber pulled away from the plastic paddle, but none of those problems since my first one. I have only broken one 5LR when I didn't have it on the mixer completely and was mixing dough. It broke when it came off when the dough was too stiff . Totally my mistake.

Best upgrade for the Kitchenaid mixer
If you bake a lot and get tired of stopping the mixer to scrape the bowl, this is for you. No more bowl scraping. I highly recommend this upgrade for any Kitchenaid owner.

Doesn't fit the KV model.
This was supposed to fit a 5 quart with a bowl lift but it doesn't fit the KV models. I have the 5 qt pro mixer, and this is too long for it.

Works perfectly!
The standard beater that came with our mixer worked ok, but this one is superior. It fits the bowl perfectly, and sweeps the sides and bottom so well during mixing that there's no extra flour left in the bowl when making cookie dough. Be sure you order the right blade specific to your mixer brand, model, and bowl capacity. With the dough mixed properly, cleanup afterwards was easy. If this one ever wears out, we'll definitely be back to buy another.

Makes mixing the dry ingredients much easier for us short people
Because of the height of the mixer on the counter it made it difficult to mix. This makes a world of difference. Never want to go back to the original.

I love to use it together with my Kitchen Aid glass ...
Works as intended :-) I use it as much as I can! No need to scrape the bowl. I love to use it together with my Kitchen Aid glass bowl. But it can also used with the metal bowl.

No me gustó mucho
El plástico de los lados no es muy flexible y al raspar el tazón hace mucho ruido. Queda tan apretado que hasta me cuesta quitarlo.
