This has been a huge help over the last couple months. It doesn't put out a whole lot of steam, but it does help keep the air from being quite as dry as it could have been. Every little bit helps.It's super easy to fill and set up. Takes only a few minutes to have it full set up and ready to start. Starts putting out steam in a minute or two. On high it does put out a moderate amount of cool steam. Of course if set to highest setting it also runs empty much faster.Really liked having it in my room except during the cold blast this year. Or nights when the wind was hitting the house just right.Being cool mist it would add to the chill in the room. On nights already half way to cold to the bone, not the best idea. Though it should be a great help this summer at helping keep it cooler. At least in hoping it will. May help with being to keep the A/C off more. Again hoping though it has been helpful on the few really warm days we've had so far.Adds a slight chill to the air. Which was good since heat off but a/c units not in yet. Plus with all the rain can't always have windows open like I'd like.

Fortunately, Amazon services was able to get a new one sent to me.The water tank holds about 2/3 of a gallon of water and does not require distilled water. Anyone with really hard water might still want to use distilled to avoid mineral deposits. The tank is plastic and fairly brittle so must be treated with some care.When filled with water, there is a simple knob to turn the humidifier on and increase the amount of mist. There is a small light that is visible when the humidifier is working. The auto shut off kicks in when it runs out of water and the light then goes out.The cord could be longer but it is doable. Cleaning this machine will be a pain because of hard to reach areas. This is a pretty simple and basic humidifier but it does what it is supposed to.

We live in an old house with forced hot air heat. It is very dry in the winter which exacerbates my husband’s asthma. I get nosebleeds. Humidification really helps. This is an easy to set up and use humidifier. It holds a half gallon. We have extremely hard water so distilled water is a must. It is very quiet. Our bedroom is about 400 sq feet and that’s about the maximum range for this unit in my opinion. We’ve tried multiple smaller units but this works better than that plan. We are very happy with its function.

received a defective humidifier. constant dripping sound . want me to send back at my expense. i will never buy from them again

We live in a very dry climate, which only gets worse during the winter. We run cold humidifiers while we're battling colds. Well unfortunately after I got this, our family contracted COVID. Thankfully only half of us really experienced any symptoms and those symptoms mirrored those of a bad cold/flu. So naturally I whipped this humidifier out and ran it. Unfortunately it's one of those that spouts a short stream of smoke like water vapor, it doesn't get into the air that well and it's not going to add a lot of moisture to even a small room. This would be better to have right next to your spot on the couch or on your bedside table. Also to open the water chamber, the disc is not only small, but awkwardly placed so it's a bit of a pain to twist open and closed. My last complaint about this unit is the LED light. There's no way to turn it off and it is located towards the middle of the unit making it about impossible to cover up if you need it to be dark while you sleep. In short I can't recommend this unit, there are better ones out there.

This is a large sized super easy super simple humidifier. I think it would be really great for older folks where simplicity = usability. Take the blue part, turn it upside down, fill with water, put it back, turn on the knob. It humidifies, with strong and consistent vapor of water, and that’s it. There’s a light that’s on while it’s operating, I don’t think you can turn it off. There is no timer, it just goes until there’s no water and it stops. It doesn’t try t9 combine the function with anything else, and I like that. Sometimes you need a thing that does what you need it to do, without all the “fancy” things that causes confusion and as a humidifier, this is it. Love it.

If you use distilled water in this then you will skip the hardwater buildup in it. It runs perfectly and kept me from drying out all winter like I normally do because of the heater drying out the air. This is definitely worth their asking price!

This is a good, basic ultrasonic humidifier. It is pretty sturdy and appears to be well made. I like that it has a nice form factor and doesn't take up a lot of footprint on a table. It is easy to use and has a variable mist output control to finetune the desired mist volume. There is a LED indicator light illuminating from under the water tank when the unit is turned on, which also helps visualize the remaining water level at night.The unit produces a good volume of mist at the maximum setting for a medium sized room. You can turn it off by dialing the adjustment knob all the way to beyond the minimum level. The water tank has a capacity of 0.66 gallon, which would last about 24 hours at the minimum level, or 10 hours at the maximum level.The cord is 5-ft long, which is a little short but workable. The unit has an auto shutoff safety feature when it runs dry, which is important for a humidifier to run overnight.The only issue that I have with this unit is that the top when the mist comes out is not rotatable. That is, you can't control the direction of the mist output unless you rotate the entire unit.Overall, I'm pleased with this ultrasonic humidifier. It is pretty basic but works well. It produces a good volume of mist to help humidify the dry air in the winter. The mist output level is adjustable but not the direction. The price is pretty reasonable as well. As a basic humidifier, it gets the job done.
