Works as advertised. Great battery saver.

great battery saver!
This is a great device so far! Have been running it for about three months and it survived sub-freezing temperatures for a few days just fine (as low as 12 degrees Fahrenheit). At a glance it doesn't look heavy duty but it has performed well with my devices pulling a bit over two amps continuously for about three months. After about 10 cloudy days it disconnected my network gear and cameras, and everything restarted once the batteries reached 13v again (I set it to disconnect at 12.1v - setting #9). This is definitely a battery saver for remote/unattended applications. I am running four flooded golf cart batteries and would hate to run them lower than 12v. Update June 2020 - the LVD is still doing great after over 3.5 years. Kept batteries in good shape (batteries are now about 4 years old). I hope to get another couple of years out of the batteries.

Saves car battery
Nice product. I hooked it up in my suv to regulate the always on power connector. It will definitely save me from killing the battery.

seemed to fail after a few years
I've had one of these in my truck to control my dashcam since 2019 and I think last year or the year before it stopped working.

Good product, great service.
The product did exactly what they said it would do. They worked with me for a couple of weeks to get me what I needed, and where very helpful, and communicated with me often to help with my project.

working on my sun seeker.
it controls how discharged the battery is before the load is shut off. so at night it doesn't discharge the battery total and distroy the battery. totally adjustable and work great.

Too small.
This thing shuts off my battery bank if I draw too much power, like 180 - 220 watts, in about 2 minutes. Then reconnects the batteries after a few minutes. No charging required. When I'm drawing less than 100 watts, this LVD allows the battery bank to completely drain until the inverter shuts off due to low battery voltage. No amount of adjustments seems to work. Not 0, not 9, not 8.....Setting 0 = Disconnect, and is the default setting and the LVD was sending power to my inverter. I was going to try their 30A LVD, but decided to get the Energy Core Products LVD (from Amazon), which does shut off the battery bank at the set voltage. I'll keep the Galley Power LVD due to the one positive thing it does do. Update: April 9 2017 Galley Power responded to my first review and took the unit back and sent out a the flush model. They also informed me of the status of the unit and what I had wrong and troubleshooted the LVD. New Review: Default is 5, not 0. This means the unit would not have shut off before the inverter because I had it set to 4 and not 9. Problem 1: Why would the default disconnect be set to 10.5 volts if the reason for this device is to prevent draining the battery? Problem 2: This information could easily be included in the install guide. Dial issue 1: The dial is very small, and the setting numbers are hard to see and the arrow is also hard to see. Screwdriver required to make adjustments is the type used for eyeglasses. Dial issue 2: Once my first setting did not work, I turned the dial all the way to the left, then all the way to the right and adjusted the dial back to the left (anti-clockwise) while the inverter was on to see where it shut off. I never got it to disconnect the batteries from the load (inverter) before setting 5 or lower or when I pulled too much power from the battery bank when it was set to 5. Device problem: According to Galley Power the reason the unit shut off was due to high temps and voltage overload protection. Therefore the unit can only be used as a backup in my environment. (Galley Power can correct me if I misunderstood their response) Number of stars: Galley Power response: 5 stars Install guide: -1 star Dial: -1 star Operation: -1 star (Can't take a star off if my environment is the issue) Total: 3 stars (increased by 1 star)

So far working great and I soldered it inline with TireTek 14 gauge ...
Bought for use with my electric cooler. So far working great and I soldered it inline with TireTek 14 gauge 15' Cigarette lighter extension also bought on Amazon; we will see during the real test this weekend how well it works and if it saves my battery while keeping my cooler running.
