Zinus Viola Modern Studio Upholstered Metal Headboard, Full / Queen, Black

This was an unusual buy for me. I bought it for my son's bedroom. He's 14 and he's a lot like me. He doesn't understand why we need headboards. Of course, my wife insisted on us having one and started trying to convince him he needed one too. I like the Zinus brand, we have a King size Zinus mattress, two queens and one full. From my experience they offer a high quality product for good prices. This headboard fits that description. It was easy to put together, admittedly was a little taller than I realized it would be, it mounted easy to the Zinus frame and then my son looked at me and said, "What's it do?" I looked at him and said, "It makes your mom stop aggravating you about getting a headboard." And I told him if he convinced her he really liked it she might make his favorite meal for him. So, there you go, this is for the minimalist crowd. I'm one of you as is my son. It has a nice, neutral look to it and it doesn't take up my space. Took about 15 minutes total to put it together and mount it. And it wasn't even close to expensive. Why 5 stars for something so basic? That question answered itself. This is an excellent basic piece of furniture.

I'm a 61 year old female and I found it very easy to attach the legs to the headboard by myself using the tool provided. Although it looks substantial, the headboard was also light enough for me to carry without assistance. I did not attach it to the frame, but it is sturdy just against the wall propped up by the bed itself.The color was true to the photo, and the quality was better than I expected.Because of the reviews mentioning bed bugs, I cut open the black cloth lining and carefully examined the seams and nooks and crannies before I brought the headboard in the house. There was no sign whatsoever of creepy crawlies, and I've had it on my bed for 2 weeks with no surprises there... so that's good.For the money, I feel very pleased with this headboard. In fact, a friend was at my house and saw it and said he plans to order one for himself. If you are reading this trying to decide, I do recommend it-- with the advice that you can pull the back lining off to double check that it's free of tiny passengers.

Nice Headboard. Arrived somewhat banged up, but was still usable. Easy to assemble. Very attractive in its simplicity. Glad that I bought it.

The media could not be loaded.  What I love most about this head board is that it is very universal and I was able to pair it with a bed frame that I bought separately on Amazon. The cushion feels like memory foam and the design is very simple and cute. It is also very sturdy!

I bought the Zinus Viola full/queen and have matched it to a Zinus 18" full smart base using the full size adapter plates included with the headboard and the Zinus headboard brackets for the smart base that are sold separately. I had no issues assembling the headboard or attaching it to the smart base.Other reviews have mentioned problems connecting the headboard to a Zinus smart base, and I can only think it's either that Amazon is lumping together reviews for other headboards, or that people aren't realizing you have to order additional headboard brackets for the platform. But the combination I chose went together perfectly.Using an 18" smart base with a 10" mattress that has a 2" topper, the top of my mattress is level with the middle of a lower grey padded area of the headboard. Being a full/queen headboard, and a queen being 6" wider than a full, the headboard has about a 3" overhang to either side of the bed, which looks totally acceptable. However the Zinus headboard brackets have elongated screw slots so the headboard isn't automatically centered. You have to either measure or eyeball it before tightening it down completely. The headboard comes with screws to attach it to a bed frame that seem excessively long, but the Zinus headboard brackets also come with screws to attach it to a headboard that are still much longer than necessary but better than the ones included with the headboard.Otherwise, I find the quality to be acceptable for the price. A good bargain. During assembly, some of the metal appears bowed but seems to straighten out as everything is screwed together. The cushions appear to be filled with the sort of foam that you would find in couch cushions. Not very soft or with much give. I am curious to see how they hold up over time. But for the price I am satisfied.

Looks good and solid quality. Great value for $65. Exactly what we needed for current situation. Attached it to IKEA bed frame with lag bolts. The padding is comfortable. I would recommend.

The headboard itself is super nice. The look and feel of the materials give the impression of a high quality item that costs much more than the actual price. Assembly was super easy.However -- I'm knocking off two stars for the installation process. The headboard itself may be adjustable, but the height at which it can be mounted to the frame is extremely limited. I bought this to go with Zinus' own best selling queen size frame, so I assumed there would be no issues, but I ended up having to drill my own holes for the mounting brackets and put the long mounting bolts in diagonally as a temporary measure, which I'm sure I'll have to address again very soon. It's very disappointing that a company with such few products wouldn't bother to make them compatible with each other, or at least explicitly state that they are not intended to be used together. I see my bed frame under the "commonly purchased" with this headboard, so I'm sure there are perhaps hundreds of people who have shared my frustration.

Easy to assemble, my bf and I did it within 20 mins. And easy to attach to bed frame. Lots of hardware and extra pieces. My frame width was 59inches and this was a perfect fit. I didn't use the extra brackets they sent, since my bed was a queen, I think the brackets were in case of a double bed. Seems fairly sturdy but only slept 2 nights in it so far. The colour is really nice and the padding is nice for nights where I sit up in bed reading or watching TV. Overall, super happy so far

Needed a headboard for new queen bed... Liked the design of this one and it compliments the lines and colours of our particular room. Assembly was easy enough, though I felt the bolts to attach the headboard to the bed frame were a little too long and perhaps not robust enough, but that is a minor quibble. Overall, a decent enough headboard.

The headboard was simple to assemble and quick delivery. I had ordered a different headboard that looked good online but was made of mostly particle board (damaged in shipping). This headboard is much sturdier (made of metal) and padding is fairly thick. It does have some slight movement because of the design (headboard attaches to bedrails about 4" to 6" off the floor). For the price this is a great headboard.

Good quality product easy to assemble except the screws that attach the headboard to the bed frame are too long so I had to buy shorter screws other than that I am happy with this purchase
