Excellent espresso scale
I don't think you can do much better for the price. It has physical buttons and a nice display. Much better than the expensive Hario. The tare is stable when grinding coffee and I've not seen any significant inaccuracy. For example it will reliably increment for a single coffee bean and once dialled in, the dose doesn't need changing over the course of a bag. I have a Mazzer Philos and a Linea Micra, which aren't really in question. I also use it to weigh darkroom chemicals occasionally, and also for molecular gastronomy. If you're expecting a NIST calibrated scale for under 20 bucks, you need your expectations calibrated. It's held up for almost a couple of years of daily use, with one or two battery changes. The buttons are still responsive. The LCD has some defects, but they don't affect usage. No problem wiping with a damp cloth and this thing lives under and on the espresso machine. It's also great for travel with the cover and it's cheap, so not a disaster if it got lost or forgotten. Downsides? Not much really. A true 7-segment display would be nice. It obviously can't do heavy weights or larger volumes, so more than a 1 cup pourover isn't happening. It's not really waterproof, but mine gets sprayed and dripped with espresso regularly. Same goes for connectivity, yes a timer and Bluetooth would be nice, but you'll pay for it.

Great Little Loose-Tea Scale at a Very Reasonable Price
My biggest issue with this scale - and I still have some lingering concerns - is that the condition of the control-panel area and the inside of the lid told me very clearly that someone else had owned it before me. And returned it without bothering to clean it properly. From the look - and the smell - of things, the previous owner probably tried to use the scale to measure cold-brew coffee by the mug, with the lid employed to gain enough height on the petite (3" x 2.625") scale surface for balancing an oversized mug. Let me say right now - y'all don't want to be trying that stunt. First, I questioned the scale's accuracy after an unknown length of use plus all the shipping back and forth. I don't have the correct calibration weight (which isn't sold as part of the package), but I was able to test the scale with both a 2-gram and a 20-gram scientific weight, thus bracketing my immediate tea-weighing needs - and found the scale did indeed handle each weight to the promised 0.1 gram. Absent packaging was also briefly problematic - because my scale was a turn-around resale, I can't say how much additional information would have been originally included as inserts or printed on the missing plastic film that was supposed to be covering the weighing surface, but all I got was a sticker on the bottom of the scale, offering an url for "product info and support." Follow that url, and you will be taken directly to an online warranty (which you must click through before you can go any further) and online instructions (which can be printed out but do not seem to come in downloadable pdf or other reader format - and if you don't print them out but then need them again later, you will have to click through the same warranty screen every single time). While I appreciate the company's environmentally-friendly ethic, a few more up-front words of guidance would have been helpful. Finally, the scale's batteries come already inserted, but are supposed to be prevented from activating by a plastic pull-tab that users must remove before trying to turn the unit on. My tab had already been pulled, so I can only hope that it, at least, was clearly labeled, because the only other way new buyers will learn that helpful tip is by following the url past the warranty screen and accessing the online instructions. For me the bigger concerns were how far drained the batteries might already be and whether having the scale sit unused for an unknown length of time with the batteries in place and activated might have caused damage to the connections, but - so far - all seems fine on the battery front. Despite these issues - most of which will not affect anyone who actually gets a never-been-used scale - I would definitely consider buying from this company again. I didn't need a fancy, full-sized and full-featured scale; I was looking for something compact and accurate at weights well below what most cooking scales can measure. And I got it. The scale is dead simple to use, easy to store in my tiny apartment kitchen, and my loose-leaf gourmet tea tastes great.

Great Scale, if Maybe a Little Toooo Ambitious. And Little.
There's a lot to like about this scale, and it leaves a great first impression. Subsequent uses can be more frustrating, but it's still great, and for me, it's a great replacement for bulkier, more-expensive, less-efficient scales. First, it's very small and sleek. It feels light but solid, with a vibrant display and a self-explanatory interface. It seems more than accurate enough for my needs, but that's one spot where its reach seems to exceed its grasp. I've never needed to know, to 1/10 of a gram, what something weighs. I know that there are times when it's good or essential to know, but at this price point, I don't expect it. Still, the scale makes an admirable attempt, and in my testing, it really does seem accurate to .1 or .2 grams. That super-scientific testing was conducted by verifying that the scale was level and tared, then taking a solid object, like a phone or glass, and weighing it about 10 times, letting the scale return to 0 between weighings. That precision degrades a bit when needing to weigh larger things, as it's often hard to make good contact with the surface (technical term), especially when trying to use the lid as a kind of expansion plate. Of course, it's probably not as important to have such a small margin of error with larger objects, but since I'm not a jeweler, chemist, or pharmacist, the larger objects are what I'm weighing most, and it feels kind of precarious. Similarly, while some people might really value the extensive units of weight, I stick to grams and ounces, and having 3 times as many as I need just means more to cycle through. So, if you find yourself needing to weigh things, it will probably do a great job, and it's probably prettier and easier to clean than whatever else you might be considering. Buy it!

Great scale!
I don't normally write reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well the scale works for the price. The LED is nice and bright and easy to read, and it seems very accurate and responds quickly when you add something onto the tray. It seems very well built; the build is all plastic except for the metal tray, but the plastic seems very durable and at this price point I think that is to be expected. I also really like the size of it, it is small enough to fit well on the drip tray of my Delonghi Stilosa. That said, while it is fairly low-profile you will want to double check the clearance with your machine if using this for espresso. On mine (the Stilosa), it will NOT fit using the protafilter that comes with the machine as there isn't enough clearance, but using a bottomless portafilter it has just enough room. Not necessarily a bad thing, but just something to double check when buying. Only other thing that would be nice is if it included a timer function, which it doesn't, but you can definitely get by without that. Overall, this is a great little scale for brewing coffee, and for the price you can't beat it!

I was truly surprise how awesome this scale is!!
First of all, this scale is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. !!! Not only small that you can really put it in your pocket but it's also extremely sensitive and you can use it for anything - I'm serious!! for anything and everything!! Do not get discourage by it's size at all - I know, some of you might think: "it's a phone size scale, but what if I want to measure something bigger?!" - I have an answer for you: tare/ zero future which allows you to put any vessel on it, use the tare and start measuring anything you put in it!! Jeezzz, this is so accurate that I was totally wowed when I even put there a slice of bread!! Sooo, if you you wanna track your meals, food or make a perfect coffee using the right amount of beans - this is just for you!! The price is great, the quality just awesome!! And you can take it with you anywhere!!! Or just keep in your kitchen not wasting the space anymore!! And did I mention it's easy to use??!! It is!! So what are you waiting for??!! Give it a try and I bet you won't be disappointed!! I highly recommend the item and the seller! I already bought the personal scale from them few years ago and.. it's still working as expected!! I also use their app for that scale and can easily track my weight! This scale doesn't have this feature but it doesn't matter - it's still incredible small and functional!! I love it!! **And please forgive me for not putting the pics right away (will attach them later on), but I realized that there are much better ones already! So just take a look a do not hesitate to ask the questions about the item or make a purchase right away!! You definitely won't regret that!! Thank you GreaterGoods for such awesome little scale!!

Good little scale.
I can't say much obout the unit because it just came in today. So far though, it seems like a good unit. I like the tray andthat is the reason for my chosing this one. My only concern is this: is it that it is more acurate than others or what. I have an Ozeri food scale and what gold I have says one thing on the Ozeri scale and different on the greater goods. Not by much but enough to cause concern. One chain weighs 29 g on the Ozeri and 28.8 on the greater goods. Which do I go by? No bother though. For my scrap gold I will always go with the greater number anyway. Good scale though.

Flawless
I got this to replace my much more expensive Timemore Black Mirror as I was tired of the capacitive buttons and it became janky overtime. Alike my larger GG scale with timer, this one is well built, accurate, responsive, has a high contrast display and great customer service. I also see AAA batteries as a plus as it’s another point that won’t fail prematurely and I can replace them on the fly with rechargeable batteries. By far the biggest strength are physical buttons which are way less finicky and make for a better user experience. Alike my previous GG scales, I see this as a perfect product that has had a lot of thought put into it.
