Nice player (especially for gym use!) with a few usability quirks!
I have a similarly sized player with no Bluetooth that I use primarily for the gym...so when I came across this and saw that it has Bluetooth decided to get it (after I went over a few of the reviews for it!).In general I'm pleased with my purchase. I primarily use this at the gym and pair it up via Bluetooth to headphones designed for the gym. When I'm at the gym I basically turn on this player and my headphones and within a couple of seconds they pair up via Bluetooth and I'm good to go!The sound quality is good and this is so light that you basically can't even tell it's on you...thus perfect for the gym!If it were possible I'd have given this 4.5 stars...but since that score isn't possible I thought about it and decided to round down instead of round up. I feel there are enough usability quirks to penalize a star and here they are:1) When in Bluetooth mode, you can't browse the playlists. You have to only browse via folder view2) It seems you can only have 3 playlists, which are built in3) This player appears to let you create folders and gives you the freedom to organize them in any manner. So I created a script that copies existing playlists to a folder along with the songs for that playlist. I then ran my script over my existing music library and copied the resulting folders to this player. At this point though I find it very odd that when browsing the folders on the player they are not listed alphabetically but are listed in order of being copied to the player. Unfortunately this makes it a little difficult to find what you're looking for4) It's pretty common that while browsing a hold press on up or down buttons gets you to browse faster in the direction you're going. This player however locks the device when holding down the up button. When holding down on the down button, it takes you the main menu. I would prefer if the behavior would match the general norm which is to browse through faster5) In some case the "prev" button operates as the back button, and in some cases the back button is the back button. This feels quite odd. If the device has a back button, the back button should always be the back button. I'm not sure why in some cases the "prev" is the back button!

What will it be when it grows up? Tis tiny
With better than 65 years in electronics (including 7 years in Navy elec), I have to say simply.... IMPRESSIVE!When I unpacked it and got the realty of how small it is, my first thought was "Oh well, Amazon takes returns". But not necessary for this gadget. Personally, I give it the GADGET OF THE YEAR award. FM is excellent reception, music sounds great with a good pair of earphones. It is a bit quirky to operate but the instructions are clear enough for Chinglish and cover every thing. When powered on, it starts off in the mode last used and the station tuned to is still "tuned to"... I think that getting used to it will be easy enough, after all I am an Electrical Engineer and not easily stumped. Actually, todays electronic-kids do better than I do. On the FM aspect, I do miss not having any memory buttons but really I have no suggestion as to where they could put any, it is so tiny. Search for the next strong station really works well.I do hope that this sound system has a good long durability life. I will update in 3 months..UPDATE: My Bad! It does have radio station "Presets" vice buttons. In fact, it does save 30 stations. When in Radio mode, press the "up-key" that looks like a = and a menu opens to set or clear presets and many other options.

It link up fine with my bluetooth headphones and it doesn't cut in ...
I've tried two other bluetooth devices before this one and this the only one that has consistently worked since I've had it. It link up fine with my bluetooth headphones and it doesn't cut in and out like the other devices did. However, there are two issues I've had so far. 1) I don't like how it won't pick up where you left off. When I'm done using it, I turn it off. When I use it again and link it with my headphones, it starts at the beginning of the music list. So I have to spend time scrolling through the list to find the last song I listened to. This would not be a problem if the device remained in shuffle mode 92) but I have to put it back in shuffle mode as well. So basically, the device resets when you turn it off then back on. Not a deal breaker, but kind of annoying. Overall, I'm satisfied with this device and I would recommend it.

Not worth the connectivity issues and weird play options in Bluetooth mode.
Bluetooth range on this thing was poor, about 2 feet, I'm 6'1 and had to place the player near my torso or my collar/sleeve to get it to not mess up. Also, when you are using it in Bluetooth mode you have to set your music in one folder because unlike in wired mode there are no options to play playlists or songs from different folders, they all have to be in one folder, it's weird. This device was the only reasonable looking Bluetooth mp3 player I could find on Amazon, I would pass though and stick with a wired Sansa or something like that for running.
