Great little shirt. I ordered it for my french bulldog for a 40th bday dress up party. All the dogs that came to the party came with security outfits, everyone thought that was a hoot. It fit her perfectly so she was comfortable for the night.

I have four dogs and dont usually dress them up...their just not the cutesy type (and neither am I)However, one of my dogs had an open wound on his back which was being dressed and tended every day so while it was healing, I wanted to ensure he couldnt scratch at it, so bought this to cover the dressing. Firstly, to my surprise, he loved it and secondly, he looked really smart. (and it did the job needed)It was very well made, washed nicely and the embroidered writing was good quality too.....if you like thi sort of thing for your dog I can highly recommend it

Update: 10/11/2019 - I later purchased this item (and some other similar doggie t-shirts also made by Parisian Pets) in a size small. They still fit Max perfectly and even after 4 years of wearing and machine washing/drying they still look good. The items are still in excellent condition with all of the embroidery, seams and binding intact and, while you can tell that they are no longer new, they still look adorable.These are Max's and my favorite go to t-shirts for all but the coldest night time walks. Max also still wears his "superman" and his "FBI" shirts and gets smiles from passers-by. (A little girl saw him in his FBI shirt and asked her daddy "Is that really an FBI dog?")Original review from 09/2015: Based on other reviewers comments, I bought a size medium for our 5-1/2 lb. chihuahua. According to the measurements, he should wear a 'small' but since so many others said that these t-shirts run small, I ordered up. I should have listened to my instincts because it is just too big for 'Max'. The quality is superior: extremely well made, quality fabric with a good weight, all seams bound with no loose threads, and professionally embroidered design -- very nice. I will take a few stitches into the shoulder seams to tighten it up for him because I really don't want to bother with the return and little Max loves it, in spite of it being a little big.I suspect that those people who got mis-sized or poor quality product may have gotten pirated merchandise. If you are one of those people, you really should complain to Amazon since they pride themselves on having excellent customer relationships. Also, it's not fair to the makers of the "real" product (Parisian Pet) to give bad reviews for pirated product of low quality. Some of the issues of wrong sizing I think may happen because people order the "normal size" for their dog, that is to say the size they usually use. But I have brought our pup to the store and tried various collars and harnesses on him and I can honestly say that he might need a small, x small, or xx small depending on the brand. There have been some I've tried where the "medium" was way too small and sometimes nothing will fit him. So you should really use the measurements posted and go from there.I can tell you a few things to look for when you get your dog T-shirt based on what I received so that you will know you got the real deal. There should be a label tag (about 1/4" high and maybe 1" long) with the words "Parisian Pet" embroidered in multicolor thread sewn into the side seam on the outside of the shirt (in addition to the hang tag that says "Parisian Pet" attached to the product.) If you don't see this label it's not the real thing. Also, you can't miss the quality of the product the fabric is cut straight on the grain (no twisting or misshapen appearance) and the design will be professionally embroidered -- much like the embroidered words and emblems on a quality sports cap or sweat shirt - the embroidered design will have a stiff backing on the inside of the shirt and there should be no loose threads or missing stitches. The sizes are true to the published measurements in the size chart, although they may not be the same as the sizes of other dog apparel you might buy from another source.If you are thinking of buying this shirt, be sure to measure your dog to get the correct sizing. The most important measurement is the chest (or girth). If your dog has long or fluffy hair, measure loosely to allow room for the hair under the shirt. My dog has extremely short hair so his actual chest size is the same size I use to order. My dog has a tendency to "walk out of" collars or shirts that are too big so, for me I need to be sure it is small enough, especially since his short hair does nothing to keep the shirt on securely. Also, I need to be sure that the neck opening is big enough to pull over his head, but not so big that he can get is legs out through the neck leaving him with an adorable little "tube top" -- not quite what we had in mind!As for what I was looking for when I bought this, I wanted a lighter weight shirt for our little guy for those evenings when the temperature in our house feels good to us but is a little too cool and drafty for him. This little t-shirt is perfect for that. The weather is still hot enough here in Phoenix so that he must have his t-shirt taken off when he goes outside, but as it gets a little cooler this will be ideal for the weather that isn't cold enough to require a sweater.I hope this review helps you decide what size to buy for your dog and helps you to recognize if you may have gotten pirated goods. If you have, please complain to Amazon, it helps everybody, including yourself. You shouldn't have to pay full price for bad merchandise.
