Q: How does the color changing work

Changes with cold liquids for sure, never tried it with hot liquids.

There really wasn't much of a color change - just a slightly darker blue.

Q: Does the mermaid cup comes off the clear cup ? There is water in between

The picture is of one cup/tumbler. It is double walled but all one piece and there is not water inbetween. I hope this helps!!
