I don't like this knife... I LOVE IT !!!!!
This knife is well balanced and proportioned perfectly for most cutting operations. I Love the ease with which it slices even tough items (of course I always give it a light swipe or two with a good steel before using). I have owned 1 of these knives for the past year and I still reach for it first amongst all the other knives in my kitchen. There is really only a couple of instances that it is not my first choice and that is when I am about to put a world of hurt on some poor defenseless piece of meat (with bones in it) or when I am gonna' smack the daylights out of a coconut shell to break it in half (for those operations, I prefer my cleaver!). I'm sure that if you purchase one of these knives, you won't be dissapointed! I know I'm happy with mine... REALLY HAPPY!Lonnie Moore.

Great little chopping knife
A nice and sharp chopper. Very versatile, and so far has kept it's edge (2 months of heavy use). It handles everything I throw at it very well. In addition, it holds its direction of cut very well, in contrast to some of the TV Chefs' 'signature series' knives.Like all the knives in the Wasabi series, the blade is a little on the thin side, which can make the blade deflect a bit if you're hacking into something really hard, but you shouldn't be doing that with this type of knife anyway, right? Get a cleaver if you want brute force. If you want a really nice intro-level chopping knife, get it. It's definitely worth the small price tag.

Amazing, would be again
I have had 2 of these knifes because i gave one to my father. Both of them have held their blade for about 3 years now and are as sharp as when i pulled them out of the box. The blade is THE most perfectly ballanced knife i have used and is sharp as ever.People usually say you get what you pay for but this knife is not the case.

Nice knife, excellent value
The Kershaw Shun santoku is my favorite knife. This one, Kehaw's Wasabi model, is almost as good and equally sharp, but definitely not as pretty. But at $100 less, what a deal!

Very sharp good looking and good price
I got this knofe at Homegoods for $20. It was very very sharp. The handle is like bamboo but soft not slipery when wet. The knife is very light compare to other knives I have. I have it for a year then I sometimes sharpen it. Now the blade is a bit dent. Don't know how that happen but it still perform very well. I can chop veggies like a pro. For the price I paid, worth every penny. Now I want to upgrade my kitchen knife. After researches I decided I get Shun santoku with hallow ground. Shun is well known sharp no question asked. Wasabi comes to very close sharpness. Compare Shun to Wasabi for this price? You can buy 4 of them.Bottom line if you want a good santoku but with a limit budget. This is it.

Nice Knife
This is a nice knife. I purchased it for one reason only... The Shun Kershaw name. The price of this knife is fantastic and is less than half the cost of the Shun items so I was hoping to get some of the Shun quality in this knife. Overall it is nice, heavy steel, the grips are a poly compound not wood. If you expect Shun quality you will not be happy but for an everyday knife, it is worth a try.
