A quality dye for natural and synthetic leather. Suitable for shoes, bags and textiles. Dyes on any colour, even white on black. Color Dye has the ability to cover small leather defects resulting from abrasions and scratches on footwear and leather accessories. Dyes and restores the color permanently. Repels water. Does not crack or chip. Dyed leather is ready to use after 24 hours. APPLICATION METHOD: Stir the bottom of the bottle of dye with the paintbrush until getting a homogenous colour. First apply paint with the brush on hard-to-access areas such as the joint between the sole and the leather, seams, and scratches. Next apply some dye on the sponge using brush. Rub gently sponge in a circular motion on the shoe surface to be dyed. Apply more dye on the sponge if necessary. Continue this process until the sponge will be almost dry. Once the first coat is dry apply a second coat by repeating the steps so that the colour evens up. Apply a third coat, if necessary. Once finished, wash the sponge and the paintbrush with water. 25 ml - 0.85 fl. oz. is enough to cover 0.5m2 of surface with 2-3 layers. Does not work with nubuck and suede. Recommended: Before dyeing leather use the Preparer or clean it some cleaning liquid

Worth a try if it saves the chair.
Colour - Leather. I purchased this after reading the varying reviews, some positive and others who were not so impressed. The colour is as expected a nice rich warm brown and a good match to the original colour before fading of my tan colour tub chair. It does appear to definitely be more of a paint rather than dye in as much as it doesn't sink in.I found it easy to use, no odour at all.I simply shook the bottle well, poured bit into paint roller and used a small roller to paint it on. Goes on smooth, to start with I though I wouldn't need a second coat colour wise but after leaving it 24 hours approx., I could see that a second coat was in order. The first coat did seem dry although felt a bit potentially 'tacky'Second coat applied in the same way and was all my chair needed.Unsure whether to apply sealer or not I left chair 3 days and still felt it could potentially tacky.I purchased a spray sealer, applied as instructed and it appears to have taken the tacky worry away.Pictures show the during and after of the seat cushion.

Exceeded expectations!
Literally love the new colour! My method was:1) Sand down the shiny coat of the leather and clean it with an alcohol based cleaner2) Apply 3 coats of the leather paint (that’s how many I did as I was going from dark to light) waiting a few hours in between.4) Apply watered down PVA glue 1:1 as a finishing coat (I didn’t want to fork out more money and this leaves a nice flexible finish)5) The PVA makes it dull so polish it with a non-silicone based furniture polish when it’s dryHighly recommend. It turned out so much better than expected.

Very Happy!
I used this product to try and match an old sofa I was ready to chuck out with an old leather footstool I'd acquired. I had decided to give it a go and if it didn't turn out right I'd revert to Plan A and get a new sofa.I have to say we are absolutely delighted with the results. The product goes on easily and the colour builds with each application. After allowing it to dry thoroughly over the weekend we applied a gloss finish and the sofa looks amazing. There has been no rubbing off of colour, perhaps those saying they have had dye rub off didn't apply a finish? We were so happy with end result we decided to buy some upholstery foam and restuffed the cushions and keep the sofa for another few years!I'd highly recommend this product.

Excellent Dye
This dye works very well on real leather and synthetic leather. It is very easy to apply and looks great once done. I have bought many colours and I am now happily changing the colour of pieces of furniture.

Good coverage
I had bought this as a last resort as I wanted a new mirror so figured I’d buy the navy, put approx 2 inches in a plastic cup and used a small paint brush to cover it, I did the first coat the night before as it was only on for 12 hours I put another coat on today and as you can see I’ve covered it from brown faux leather to navy. I’m amazed and delighted at the result, anyone wanting to give it a try, I’d highly recommend it.A little goes a long way and I have loads left to do my headboard for the spare room, even though the second coat went on today it was dry enough to lean up against the wall until it’s completely dry.Ok so this is now a few days since I coloured my mirror and the colour looks great as I had to give 2 coats but that’s fine, the only slight negative Is that after a few days I ran my hand over the frame that I stained and it comes off on my hands, not a lot but I was going to use it to cover the headboard on my spare room but I use white bedding So I wanted to show you with a tissue in the photo how much colour comes off.Personally I wouldn’t risk using it on a sofa for fear of ruining your clothes, maybe it will dry through with time but it has been about 4 days.
