Beautiful and durable Dutch oven for 1-4 person meals
Bought this when the price was less than $100 as a gift for my daughter. I own a larger Staub cocotte/Dutch oven that I love. My daughter wanted an enameled cast iron Dutch oven that wouldn't take up too much room in her apartment kitchen that she could use to make meals for 1-2 people. Couldn't believe my luck when this went on sale b/c it's exactly what she wanted. She's very pleased and happy with her very own Staub cocotte

Best cast iron Dutch Oven
I recently made the decision to upgrade my kitchen gear with a Staub Cast Iron Dutch Oven and I'm satisfied with my purchase. I was hoping to find a replacement for my old crockpot and this oven has surpassed my expectations. Although it's quite heavy, it cooks meals that are absolutely delicious. I've been using it in my air fryer/multi cook oven on the slow cooker setting and it's been working like a charm. Cleans up without any issues, no rust or marks. I did need to season it to get the shine. The glass lid is solid (heavy glass). Perfect size for 2-3 people. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new cooking appliance.

UPDATE! NOT HAPPY
Good first impression! will see how long it will last!?UPDATE!After following washing directions with soapy water, pre seasoning the the Dutch Oven with vegetable oil at low heat for 5 minutes, and then let it cool down, as directed by the Staub Little Book; the following day I noticed a tiny hole inside the wall of the Dutch Oven; as shown on the images. I am very disappointed to say the least. I want a replacement or my full money back.UPDATE: 7/26/2021After returning and having a full refund by Amazon of the damaged item; I've decided to give it another try, and re-order same item delivered and fulfilled by Amazon. As always Amazon return and refund policies always delivers. So far I am very satisfied with the condition of the re-orderd Staub Cocotte. I may order more to this collection in the future. Thank you Amazon for restoring my satisfaction and confidence buying experience. The Dutch oven doesn't only look beautiful but is very well made. Well worth the expense.

So far, so good
The finish (blue) is very attractive and visually striking in the light, but more importantly it is a well designed piece of equipment that functions exactly as it should. It excels at everything I demand of it and have no further wishes or regrets.

A Staub must have!
I have a collection of STAUB, and this one Cooks with the glass lid just as they do. Great on the stove top to the oven and to the serving table. Perfect stew, great soup, and it turned out beautiful no knead breads! This is a great size for Bread. Figured this was small but cooks more things than you would think, infinite possibilities. One of the nicest things is it very manageable. Fun and safe on glass stove top. I would highly recommend this to everyone. And if you have STAUB you need this to go with your collection. Fun cooking vessel.

Best value in the cast iron market.
I’m biased because I already own several Staub pieces, so I already love their design features, aesthetic, and durability. This was a tremendous bargain that I couldn’t pass up - a 4 qt for $99? I actually prefer Staub to Le Creuset because of the interior finish and inside lid design. These features alone cater to someone focused on cooking technique. My kitchen has white cupboards and cabinet doors and white/black granite countertops, so I purchased this pot in white. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Overall, enamel cast iron is lovely in any color by Staub (or Le Creuset), and they basically are kitchen jewelry. They go from stove or oven to table. Both Staub and Le Creuset cast iron are made in France, not China.Another benefit is durability. These pots are generational - when treated well, your children’s children will inherit this piece. Also, when purchasing cast iron, it’s important that the iron be thick. Cheaper cast iron pots are less expensive because they are thin-walled and poorly made. Cheaply made pots won’t cook your food evenly. For cast iron, you get what you pay for. That’s why this is such a tremendous value.I can’t recommend these enough, especially with this price.

Better than Creuset!
In the world of enamel coated cast iron, Staub is my favorite. There are a few other competitors out there, including the original Le Creuset -- but I found that the manufacturing of most other brands is going downhill. Staub continues to maintain a relatively good cast and a beautiful exterior glaze, which is not the case with the other brands that have turned to cheaper glazes that stain and are not shiny.Another nice feature is the metal knob is standard. These have to be purchased aftermarket with other brands. We are not likely to exploit the dished lid, but the shape is actually traditional and used for condensing liquids. If you want to make rosewater, for example, you might actually use this feature and put ice in the lid to make a distillation dutch oven. You can, in principle, also put hot coals there, but I wouldn't.My one sort of niggle about these pots is the interior finish. Staub uses a rough, black enamel. As a matter of practice I have had no problems with it, but it does seem mildly absorbing (or adsorbing) somehow. It does get clean, but it also gets very minor mineral buildup. Staub recommends coating them with a thin layer of oil, which if you do that and bake empty in a 475F oven for about an hour will give you a polymerized interior coating rather like a seasoned cast-iron skillet. I, however, prefer to keep my clean.

J'adore, super qualité
Superbe objet utilitaire. J'aime le couvercle. Je suis heureuse chaque fois que je l'utilise. Format parfait pour trois portions.

Bien
Se raya fácilmente el revestimiento exterior. La otra marca francesa de ollas es mejor aunque más costosa
