Taste like if a cacao and a cashew had a baby
Macambo beans I haven’t heard of until a health-nut friend mentioned these. I decided to give it a go since I was looking for a guilt free crunchy snack. I am pleasantly surprised! When I bite into them it’s crispy and flaky like the description says. At first I taste salt and bitterness similar to cacao nibs. Then as I chew it up it tastes just like cashew and sort of melts in your mouth. Also there’s a flavor that reminds me of popcorn as an after taste. I love it! Honestly had to force myself to stop after I ate a handful. I know people say it’s expensive but I think considering where it is grown it’s a special snack. I think I could make this jar last a month if I eat in small handfuls. I love that it is gluten free and keto friendly.

What a healthy treat
This has just the right amount of salt and cures your hunger for protein. I get in a feeding frenzy and eat the whole jar in 3 sittings!

Super salty and rancid
Its inedible. I am very unhappy. The description never said it was salty. Also old and rancid. I know what this should taste like and this is not a good taste. I tried to return it but it says its not returnable. I am so disappointed. Wasted my money

Magic Beans Great For Regularity
I discovered these beans on a trip to the Amazon rainforest. They were given to us on an Aqua Expeditions journey in the middle of our tour of the river and wildlife. They were a wonderful, tasty and recharging little snack, and I never forgot about them. When I saw them available on Amazon, I did not hesitate to purchase some even though the price is seemingly outrageous. One little magic feature is that these beans are packed with fiber. Even three or four a day and you will go a lot! I also eat them to stave off appetite. Extremely useful right before dinner or a night out when you need to hold yourself over a couple of more hours.

Unusual flavor but delicious
This was a new product for me. I enjoy nuts and seeds and wanted to try this product to add a new flavor. They are about one inch round, crispy, not too salty and with an earthy taste. I had a couple as soon as I received the jar, and now crave them every day. They're filling with just a few, and I often have four or five when I'm peckish but don't want to spoil my appetite before a meal. I like that it comes in a jar rather than in a plastic container. I like the product so much, I ordered a few of its other seeds and fruits. None have disappointed.

Very unique, high quality product but not for repeat purchases
I was curious to try these since no other company has them readily available in the market. The taste to me was that of a salted, lightly buttered water wafer with some mild nuttiness. The layered, flaky texture of each bean's interior gives it a nice gradual crunch not typical of other nuts and seeds. Overall, the flavor was very mellow and nothing too impressive. What was surprising was the very refreshing aftertaste of each bean. I'm not sure if this is dependent on the freshness and moisture trapped in the beans, so it might just be unique to some batches. For the somewhat understandable exorbitant price and the pretty average flavor, I won't be buying these again but I don't regret trying this exotic food just once.

Delicious, but not quite what I was looking for...
I thought I'd try these since they are related to the cacao plant in the hopes that it would be a source of energy and add a boost to my day. I make a DIY warm elixir with cacao powder and medicinal mushrooms in the morning for energy instead of making coffee as coffee/caffeine really aggravates my system. I really liked the flavor, they remind me slightly of lightly buttered popcorn. :) It's always interesting to try something I've never eaten and experience the texture and flavor. I gave this product 5 stars for that. I can't say I felt an energy boost, though. They gave me a sense of satiety and I enjoyed the texture. They are quite expensive and don't really provide what I was looking for (thus, 4 stars for value), so I probably won't be purchasing again. But, I did enjoy the experience of eating them.
