The best and most overlooked programs for getting in shape, staying fit and flexible at age. It may be an older volume and seem unrealistic or too simple to see real results.If you're in that camp of thinking, I challenge you to try it for a week. Hell, try it once. It looks easy but it gets deep in your core and branches strong from there to produce a body that's flexible in a method and timeframe that's feasible and with results you can measure and see.They also have a website, app, other books in the series and a series of DVD workouts-though you can catch those on the app (which gives a free trial). If I was forced to simplify the description I'd say it's a form of exercise that meets somewhere between Ballet and Pilates.If you ever wondered where the term "pulse" came from in regards to working out - it started here. That's what you do sets of in certain count. It's a gentle yet firm movement that strengthens, stretches and works the muscles via isometrics.According to Callahan, the Creator Callanetics will do the following:"After one hour of Callanetics you will feel the effects; after a few hours of the program you should start to see the difference. By following the simple 60 minute Callanetics workout three to four times a week, the body you always dreamed of may be yours!"I can't speak to this practice on its own in the way of results because I incorporate it into my overall routine which houses a few different disciplines and methods of working out but I will say after giving it a go, my yoga practice is easier and my overall strength and stability have improved. I did lose some quick inches at the start as well.Highly recommend!They even have an edition for those with back pain and there's also a workout that's Callanetics FOR MEN!Try it. It's addicting, I warn you.Note - if you're from the company producing Callanetics materials or distributing or in any way affiliated with their efforts, please - I'M BEGGING YOU for more content specifically geared to MEN and Men's Callanetics workouts!!! This market area is extremely lacking -near noon-existent-for any workouts like this or even bare related. You could be tapping into a huge market resource if you try. I know a lot of guys who would love this workout and I've actually got a few hooked, but they've all said the same thing which is they wouldn't go out of their way to otherwise try it because it's targeted to woman and the videos only contain women. The books had more of a balance+make/female application if anything. Please, think about a men's line. I know I'd scoop them up.

Highly Recommend!
I'm really enjoying this so far! I've tried many of the old Callanetics DVDs off and on over the past few years and I liked all of them. However, I enjoy the modern studio and music in this DVD, and the pace/flow of the exercises. I've only done level 1 three times so far, and each time seems to go by quicker than the last. This DVD is much easier to motivate myself to do than the older ones!I'm the type of person who has a lot of trouble getting motivated to do strenuous, jumpy exercise where I end up a sweaty, breathless mess. The exercises in this DVD are very gentle but VERY effective. You may not break a sweat and you may feel very relaxed afterwards, but the next day you will be SO sore! If you've never done Callanetics before, be sure to really watch and listen to how the instructor tells you to perform the exercises. The movements are very delicate, but if you do them right, you WILL get a great workout. You will also become more flexible and feel more loosened up.As I stated earlier, I've only done this 3 times so far, however my stomach already seems a little tighter.

quick results, safe and effective exercises, if you did the old Callanetics tapes, please read review
If you haven't done the old Callanetics you will love this! Whether you have done the old ones or this one you will love the quick results.Effective, safe, and easily modifiable exercises. If you've done old Callanetics videos with Ms. Pinckney, it may take a bit of adjustment but don't give up on Callanetics Countdown...at least give it a chance for a few weeks. The videos flow faster than Ms. Pinckney's as far instructions & on time between exercises but also means you get done faster. At first I really missed the slow, relaxing pace of the old videos, but have adjusted and because of the stretching at the end of Callanetics Countdown, I still feel relaxed but also that I worked hard when video is over.I think Ms. Pinckney did a better job explaining and assuring exercises were done properly but Ms. Kondi does ok. She did a better job in the 2nd than 1st video. The blonde in the videos does the exercises almost exactly the way Ms. Pinckney would have expected and does a better job demonstrating than Ms. Kondi so I watch her but still modify what I can't do & there are 2 people who modify at different levels in the videos. The exercises are the same as the old Callanetics for the 1st, 2nd, and part of the 3rd videos and since I haven't finished the 3rd video I can't say for sure.The first video I didn't care for because of the instruction, lack of ticker, and pace but the 2nd video was much, much better so I skipped to it after only a few days. There are tickers for most of the exercises in the 2nd video. If you only try the first video then don't return the DVD or give it a rating because your opinion will change after doing the 2nd or 3rd video.I don't care for the "music" because it seems counter-intuitive based on the exercise pace but there is no way to cut it off without losing Ms. Kondi's narration. I'm getting used to the music having done the videos so many times now though.

Killer program but excellent, quick results.
You don't need special equipment. All 3 stages are shown so you can easily move from one stage to another.

Gut gemachte Trainingsanleitung
Ich habe es zwar nicht in 30 Tagen zu einem schönen Körper geschafft, was aber hauptsächlich daran liegt, dass ich nur einmal mit der DVD mit trainiert habe….. was aber keinesfalls dem Verkäufer oder der DVD Qualität anzulasten ist, sondern meiner Faulheit.Das eine mal hab ich aber gut gespürt.

Es una rutina progresiva.Se trabaja tono muscular, estiliza la figura y tiene un grado de dificultad viable para el trabajo en casa.Toma en cuenta todos las zonas problemáticas.La instructora te motiva.
