I use this on my face in the morning and I use Glycolic Retexturizing Cleanser in the evening. These two work well together and I will continue as it works well with my skin.I recently ran out of the Glycolic Cleanser and I just used the Neutrogena for about a week, my face still felt clean but I'm not sure how well this would work, in the long term, without the glycolic cleanser.

I love this product and use it every day. When I opened the box it came in, all three bottles were packaged very tightly in plastic. However, upon opening the plastic packaging, there was face wash all over the three bottles. One of the pumps was not in the locked position and leaked everywhere. This probably happened during packaging since they wrap them so tightly with the plastic. Luckily, that bottle is still mostly full. I removed a star because the packaging should really be rethought.

I have buying Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel for at least 5 years, This is the 1st time I ordered it off of Amazon since the price was so good - a set of 3 bottles. As soon as I opened it I knew something was wrong. These 3 bottles were an odd shade of green. You can see my current bottle on the left which is blue and how they have always looked. I unscrewed 1 cap to smell the solution (which is normally a very light sort of clean ocean scent) and the smell from this green bottle was clearly rancid! Am returning these and looking for fresh bottles even if they cost more. This is a great cleanser that never dries out my skin, leaves it soft and refreshed and has a very pleasant, gentle smell. I can't tolerate sprays, creams, lotions etc., that have strong flowery or perfume smells.
