This camera is great value for the money. The only issue is it does take awhile to connect and sometimes freezes. The motion detection does not appear to work unfortunately.

1/9/19 They pushed through some enhanced security now the cloud and the SD cards don’t work. Pressing on the cloud doesn’t respond. I am still on the same system version as yesterday, so I’m not sure what they did. I’m looking for a new cam and software now and US made.Update 8/8/18 One camera got wet. It went offline. We couldn't add it back. We tried the reset after removing it from the list of cams. I will order another possibly but will mount higher next time.UPDATE: 5 to 2 rating - After 7 months, the cloud storage abruptly ended and it is asking me to renew! It never ask warned me. It serves limited purpose without the cloud unfortunately. You can't even renew the cloud because you have to be in the country of where it's made! I will need to research the card storage now. It irritates me they are not upfront about this. To me, this is a 6 month disposable cam unless you do the storage card option.I love this camera! Great night vision too! Easy setup by following the wireless instructions. Night vision is excellent. We monitor two neighborhood cats and ensure there's food and water outside. We taped it with shipping tape under a patio bistro chair and got the black one. It's only gone offline once in a month. It went back online by itself. The newest update this week fixed the voice button and moved the shortcuts so they don't mess with your full screen--an improvement. They had a sale for $39 just now and I got another. Note: Ensure your wifi connection on your phone is on the 2.4 channel and not the 5 speed channel when setting up via your phone on wifi. I have an iPhone 6 iOS 10.3.3 and had no issues. In less than 15 mins we had it ready. I have never purchased from this company before the original purchase and was considering a $400-500 cam set (3 cams). This is less than half the price. 4 devices can be connected for viewing it said. We will setup the other phone next. It has a 24 hr cloud. Record. Button. Movement alerts with the sensitivity settings. Snapshots button. Voice chat. Presets are available so you can quickly see views. The range it views it amazing. Front 180 degree view. It can view straight up too, so 90 degrees up and it goes down too. It plugs in. The cord is about 3ft. The plug is a sideways one and narrow so you can still use the other plug. I recommend this one and I work in IT. Easy setup and the last code to put in is the 8 one, and not the wifi one. Follow the directions on the instruction sheet.Recap: Write your house wifi password down. Remember to use a 2.4 speed wifi on your phone connection to your house wifi for the setup. Last code is the 8's.

I have been using these cameras for years. Very reliable and easy to use.

Picture quality and motion detection were fair. The main issue was with the constant picture freeze or camera going offline. The streaming software on this camera is very poor compared to others I’ve used. I was really hoping I would be able to get this camera to function properly because it had some of the best app notification options I’ve seen. This model allows you to not only change the notification sound, all kinds of options like bird sounds, siren, chimes, etc.… It also allows to adjust volume and motion sensitivity. I was using this camera for nighttime monitoring of an elderly parent and the notification system worked great. Unlike all other cameras I’ve tried I was able to set a notification/alarm that would sound off long enough to wake most people from a sound sleep. This is a critical option for me because my elderly parent needs help getting in and out of bed during the night. My parent suffers from Alzheimer’s and is unable to call out for help so the alarm/notifications options are critical for my particular needs. The alarm/notification system on this model perfectly suited my needs. All of the other cameras I tried rely on your ph/ipad settings, which only sound off once with a relatively short sound. I wound up returning this camera and am currently trying the Aosu brand, which seems to be like others I’ve tried, poor notification options.
