Really not comfortable for RPG contact lenses!
I have scleral contact lenses for a few months now for my keratoconus. These contacts are considered as RPG lenses (FYI). When I got them for the first time, my ophthalmologist gave me Unique PH from Menicon. It's an all-purpose solution that you have to rub your lenses with an let soak in overnight to clean them. It was an ok product, don't really have to complain. But after I discovered peroxyde-based solutions to clean my contacts, I wanted to give it a try. I bought the Clear Care solution (the classic one) and i felt that my contacts were cleaner (it's also known than there is less risk to get any bacteria contamination with peroxide-based solution, if, of course, you follow the good handling pratices (aka washing your hands correctly)). Even if it was cleaning pretty well my contacts, they didn't feel so comfortable to wear and were getting blurry during the day. I saw that the same company was proposing this product, Clear Care Plus and wanted to give it a shot since it was described as better than the original. Well, I totally disagree. Even if it didn't harm my eyes, it made my eyes really dry and the contacts really uncomfortable to wear, even if i was rinsing thoroughly the lenses with saline solution before putting them on. It got so uncomfortable that I was starting regreting getting these lenses, thinking that it would be a pain each time that I put them on. I made some research and found another peroxide-based solution, Oxysept UltraCare and it was accompanied with great reviews. Even if there is less options avalaible to buy it and it's more expensive overall (especially if you get the Ultra Enzyme box on top of it), I wanted to give it a try. And seriously, I'm glad I did it! Just the first time I put my lenses on after an overnight cleaning, it was day and night! It was so much more comfortable! My eyes don't feel dry anymore and I almost don't feel my lenses anymore! Such a relief! FYi, it's sold with the warning "for soft lenses" but I asked my doctor and he says that it's totally fine with RPG lenses (except if you have a specific coating on them, then you should ask your eyes doctor), go for it! Also, that's why overall it's more expensive, it's not a complete cleaning solution, you have to clean your contacts with a daily cleaning solution from any good brand out there (personally I used Boston Advance Cleaner, Step 1). So yes it's more expensive but your eyes are important and it will save you from this horrible product! I'm throwing away a bottle and half of product but I'm doing it gladly! for the sake of my eyes!

Beware
I used a whole bottle of the clean clear triple action solution I had no problems. So this time I got the “hydroglide” formula used it ONE time and now my vision is hazy like fog or smoke in my eyes. I know how to use the solution, I even follow the overnight soak with a sterile saline rinse. The contacts did not burn when I put them in, but it did make my eyes tear up more than usual, 15 minutes later I’m walking out the door and I notice my vision is hazy, 20 minutes later the fog is really bothering me and I’m back home and taking out my contacts. I rinse out my eyes with saline. Sadly my eyes are still foggy even after removing the lenses and rinsing. I don’t know what the big difference is between the two solutions but the “hydroglide” was a waste of money , I will never use it again. The foggy eyes eventually did go away after 20 minutes, but it was scary, I’ve never had that happen before after 20 years of wearing contacts.
