So, after years of faithful service, my Honda HRX217 started to squeal when I cut wet grass. I also noticed that as the belt aged and stretched, that I was not getting as much speed or power out of my walk-behind power assist. So it was time to get a new belt. But the big box store doesn't carry the belt for this mower. Thankfully, there is Amazon! Cheaper, faster, more satisfying!....and it came to my door within two days!As far as replacing the belt, it took a lot more work than I had planned. Apparently, Honda decided that something that wears out (like a belt) should require complete dissassembly of just about everything on the bottom of your mower.... And don't get me started on those stupid ring clips! If you don't have straight and curved ring clip pliers, let me save you some time and suggest you order them when you get the belt.After a whole day of disassembling, cursing, greasing, cursing, reassembling, cursing, and cleaning up (I have a process), I am pleased to say that the new belt works great! Kudos to Amazon for making the belt purchase the easiest and most satisfying part of the entire process!
