Another high quality Unifi Product
Small and no fans, uses passive cooling. Requires a Unifi controller to configure. This could be the Unifi controller software or any Unifi console. Powered by POE+ on port 1 (1GBe) or provided power brick. Note: If you want to use it POE Powered and you want a 10GBe uplink then you MUST use both the 1Gb port and 10GB port and ensure RSTP is enabled on your network. Otherwise, use the provided power brick

Works perfectly
Works great right out of the box. Loved the additional mounting hardware that was given.

DO NOT BUY -- Less than a year and it went dead
I've had this product less than a year and it went dead. Won't turn on, nothing. I've requested an in warranty replacement or repair but I got this message from Ubiquity: "Thank you for submitting your Ubiquiti product for warranty. Your request has been sent to the reseller. Please allow them two business days to respond to your RMA." I don't understand why the reseller has to be involved? Shouldn't the manufacturer of the defective product fix this issue? I expected more from Ubiquiti and am currently disappointed. Update: The seller finally accepted responsibility after literal months passed and one newborn later. But now they are claiming they are owed a 20% restocking fee for me to get a replacement or refund. I paid $340 for this and their 20% restocking fee somehow takes the refund to $240. Go figure as to how that math works. My recommendation to prospective buyers: DO NOT BUY.

Great product but fails a lot
I have this connected to a 24 port XG switch. I have to keep spares of these switch flexes from how often they go dead.

Received a used device
Buyers beware, I received a used item. Box had the unifi tapes ripped open and was held together using regular transparent tape.

Worked for ~6-months then ... dropped out, then dead
As with other users, the Flex XG worked for a few months then started dropping out and then not working at all. Expected better from Ubiquiti. I have several other Ubiquiti devices and have had very good results, solid as a rock, but this is the 1-bad apple that has me wondering if they are slipping. Moved the rating up due to quick response from Ubiquiti and RMA processing. Sometimes things go wrong, but with quick response and replacement it lessens the issue. Hope I won't be back with another failure in a few months. Other Ubiquiti equipment is very good, near 100% uptime without glitches, especially their WiFi, kudos for this equipment.
