Maybe I'm too much of a fan-boy for this review to be legit.
Love these little guys. Having a bulb that fits in the E12 fixture will make it so that I can put Lifx everywhere in the house. I got enough for a single chandelier in our house (6) and installed them. I had no problems setting them up (unlike some of the reviews I have read here). I have had problems with some of the lights I've purchased from Lifx before, but never to the point that I had to return. With that being said, I turned all of them on and they worked right away. The candle flicker is very cool and the Lifx app's Animate Theme is great for background lighting. While I have given 5 stars in the review, I do wish that they were a little brighter. Lifx DOES say that they are for decoration and not for functional light so be warned. I am a fan of having very bright light when I want it and the BR30s and A19s are barely bright enough. Anyways, these little guys put off a lot of light and I imagine that will be sufficient for most people. But if you are using them as the only source of light in a room, you might need to consider purchasing additional bulbs to add lumens or adding other sources of light to the room. Some other feedback that I think Lifx will address in time is next. I'd like to be able to control the individual zones on the bulb (similar to other multi zone lights from Lifx). Currently I can't find a way to do that. Also, having theme animations or some kind if Effect going tends to stop after a while. I think this has to do with the app (Lifx app) than the bulbs themselves and since I like running themes on these little bulbs with animation a lot. Lastly, and this is critical of the app, I'd like to be able to alter the color of the candle flicker fire effect. I run D&D games for friends in our house and having different color fire would be awesome. Suffice to say, Lifx will probably get these things fixed in an update to their app soon. I did feel that they helped other customers know what they are getting into. I have cash laying here for when they are available again so I can get another chandelier done in our house. Lifx for life!

A good buy
Very nice lights. I use them for my ceiling fans, they have decent brightness, I wish they could get just a tad bit brighter. They were relatively easy to connect but the app connection is a bit wonky.

LifeX chandelier bulbs are new option
These are really great in my dining room chandelier. Mood options galore. I like the addition of this type of bulb to the LifeX collection. The app makes it easy to set timers, adjust brightness and color options.

Very dim, software nightmarish
Incredibly painful to pair with an android phone (yes, I tried putting my phone into airplane mode and only turning on wifi), often necessitating multiple app restarts, etc. Doubly difficult if the firmware on the bulb needs to be updated. Then, once you finally get the device connected, you will very easily accidentally reset it. It's only supposed to reset if you turn it on and off 5 times, and supposed to just return to the default color if you only turn it on and off twice in rhythmic succession, but all to often it resets after just turning on and off twice--meaning you have to go through the painful process of trying to pair it to your phone again. If you use the color scheduling feature, good luck getting it to actually follow the schedule if the light is off. When you turn it on, it won't display the scheduled color, but rather the last color it displayed, only adopting the schedule at the next change, or if you go to the trouble to pull up an app on the phone. So, for instance, I got these bulbs to have my home produce orange-red light towards nighttime, in consonance with my circadian rhythm, but all too often, I'll come home at night, turn the lights on, and they'll be bright white for this reason. I have to fumble with a phone (which is not my main phone owing to the app not being open-source). You can leave the lights on constantly to try to ameliorate this. Colors are really nice, but getting them to adhere to a schedule is so unreliable that you rarely get to enjoy them. However, these E12 bulbs are super dim, it's quite ridiculous. If I wired my entire house with smart controllers, I might have had a better experience, to be fair.

Fun and functional
You can use these with the Amazon echo, or your Apple HomePod I have them on both in my house and with six outside candlelight bulbs. Itโs nice to be able to change colors with the holidays and other seasons not to mention brightness and turn it on and off from anywhere at any time. These larger lightbulbs have been around forever, but if you have a chandelier, these would be amazing in it. LIFX I have had for almost 10 years now, and they offer a better color gamete than the Phillips.
