It's a shame, I really like these boots. They are quite light, a good fit and comfortable straight out of the box. My first concern was on wet concrete, if there is anything on the surface I.e leaves, dirt or moss the grip is considerably reduced. Next came "Waterproof" concerns. They hold up quite well in general rain on the pavement (these are not wellies so I avoided large puddles) but walking through wet grass they have let me down. I walked the dog in these for approx an hour and was really impressed. These were warm, still comfortable and surprisingly had a lot of grip in the snow on a variety of surfaces; paving, tarmac, gravel and grass. And an additional bonus, dry feet! I wasn't careful where I stepped, just enjoyed the snow with the dog and the boots did their job.Going to up my rating to a 4 due to previous experience above.

Jack Walker shoes great value. Comfortable from first wear. Had rain shower test. No wet socks. Tread good for rough ground. Subtle styling. Have bought number of shoes from this brand. Would buy again.

Chose this make as stated made in UK (not China at last). They are comfortable and lightweight. Haven't tested in rain yet.BUT definitely go up a size when ordering, husband always been a size 10 but had to reorder a size 11.

Bought these to replace my last pair of worn out boots. To start they were great, very comfortable, warm and they were true to size. However, on certain surfaces like wet manhole covers, mud or leafy ground they have little to no grip. In wet weather they're "resistant" but by no means waterproof. I've been unable to wear them for times due to them getting soaked through in showers. Despite this, they were good value.

Boots seem to be good quality and lightweight. Only issue is that the fit is quite tight, so if you like to wear thick socks, or your feet are wide, better go one size up.

Took them to Coombe Martin hiking and on the beach,,, great comfort and great waterproofing,,, would highly recommend for hikers and dog walkers

Die Schuhe sind in der Festigkeit zu weich man hat keinen guten Halt

Ich finde es sehr diskriminierend, daß 95% jedweder Fußkleidung zu schmal gearbeitet wird. Sollte jemand evtl mal sein Hirn einschalten, könnte eine Marktlücke geschlossen und viel Geld verdient werden.
