I needed a fall crop for my "victory garden." Everything did really well this past summer - potatoes, cucumber, bush beans, cucumber, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, jalapenos, banana peppers. I grew everything in 5 gallon buckets or grow bags. But now I wanted something for fall harvest that would do well with the cool nights we have here in Western Pennsylvania in October. I started the seeds indoors and they germinated quickly and then planted them out in the buckets. I also gave some plats to a friend. Some of the plants were destroyed by a small greenish beetle but then I covered the remaining plants with plastic gallon milk jugs cut in half and now they are thriving. I am hoping to get cauliflower by the end of October so I will return to this review then to report on how great they taste.

I started these in my home and they were doing great. I worked hard on the "newly created garden just for these", I tilled, put above-ground lumber borders around the garden, and had a nursery deliver around 1/4 truckload of garden dirt. There were no issues with the dirt or garden in any way. I did not damage or even touch the roots. I did not remove the plant from the dirt it was in. I simply planted them in my garden and watered them. They looked great. The next morning I went out to see them and they were dead, I mean DEAD. There is absolutely nothing I did wrong. I am beyond unhappy.

Got it. Waiting to plant, but we are ready.

I love the seeds are heirlooms and they germinated within a few days. I look forward to eating cauliflower in a couple months.
